You hit the ball out of the park with this chapter. Not that other chapters are just boundaries.

This is the first time I have seen a shift.

We all wanted Khushi to be happy in the future with or without Arnav or with or without another partner in her life.

Never in our wildest dreams thought Khushi might end up with SMJ because he has a child. We never thought he would change (not that we don't have doubts now).

As if you are challenging us. Now what do you want? Should she settle with Shyam?

That really made me laugh. We should not underestimate the power of a wonderful writer's thinking process. Take a bow Arpita.

I guess, having kids or not having kids or how many to have or when to have, are not really something which happens with mutual consent or careful planning. Some times it just happens or sometimes it happens even if only one person is happy about it. Arnav and Khushi did not really discuss about it. Arnav did mention he doesn't want to have kids. Khushi lived in a hope that one day he will change his mind.

But, when he really changed his mind and wanted to try after few days or months, Khushi refused to bring a kid into this world. What else has happened that changed Khushi's mind? She is still pining for kids. Then why did she change her mind when Arnav relented? Too many questions. Will wait for answers to be revealed in due course.

Now Arnav won't do anything to jeopardise Khushi's happiness until he finds out it is SMJ. If Khushi says, SMJ has really changed, will Arnav interfere?

Payal doesn't even know about SMJ's equation with Khushi in the past, So, even if she finds the name, she may not feel it is important to reveal it to Arnav. What an impasse!

What does Raju mean at the end of the chapter? Does that mean he doesn't know anything about the divorce and assuming Arnav is crying because he may have lost Khushi to death and Raju is hoping he had not?

We need good friends in our lives and Payal is one such friend to Khushi. Even if Khushi pushes her away, Payal will not leave. My only concern is, when Payal finds out about Lavanya and Arnav's intimacy, she may even keep Arnav out of the loop and just help Khushi in getting married to SMJ.

I knew something was not right with Khushi's frequent visits to Lucknow. Arnav's parents depended so much on Khushi, yet bugged her with children queries every time she visited. Why couldn't they call/visit Arnav and ask him directly. This is one thing I dislike about some boys' parents. They want every thing best for their son, but when it comes to probing, they conveniently by pass the son and attack the daughter in law.

Take care Arpita!

Cheers..

I doubt SMJ has changed

How convenient that he happened to be there at the first instance when khushi’s parents started looking for a match. He may have got to know about this from somewhere and he just presented himself there. I have strong doubts..

Also the reasons for khushi refusing to have child with Arnav in the last year of marriage might be infidelity I guess. She definitely knows about Lavanya not the truth but..

I have a friend she is been married for 13 years but still don’t have kids. She said her husband doesn’t want them and she has accepted his decision and is happy..

Come to think of it,how come the same Khushi, who didn't stop pills when Arnav changed his mind to have kids to even save her marriage, can marry the same guy who was the reason she had to drop everything and get married to Arnav in first place? Just because he has daughter. Somehow I am not able to wrap my head around it

Also how come Arnav is thinking he didn't offer her kids when in the past Khushi and payal discussion it came up as he wanted to but Khushi didn't stop pill. Confusing

This story is mainly based on Aranv's PoV and it is about his resurgence. In stories like this normally other characters', PoV usually takes a back seat. In this story we can understand where everyone is coming from and what their agendas, motives, short comings and obligations are.

Cheers..

Arpita dear, I just joked few chapters earlier that this story is "Resurgence" of Shyam's love towards Khushi and you took it seriously. 😲 😆

I did not get why Arnav did not want to have kids.

Anyways, what stood out here for me was Arnav believes Khushi's parents and society norms force Khushi to act in a certain way or take decisions without her consent. But he too has done the same. He has forced his decision of not having a child on her. How different is he from the rest of the world then.

I am guessing later on he probably agreed half heartedly but by then she decided not to stop the pills.

Is it too late for Arnav to repent his actions? Maybe the best he can do is find out if the guy Khushi might marry is indeed a good human being or not.

Another emotional and beautifully written chapter.

Oh my, what a chapter. Arpita, you are a fabulous writer.

Arnav didn't want kids, as he was scared to take responsibility of another human being. I think he was not wrong as it's a big responsibility being a parent.

Khushi wanted it. Their differences were growing. He wanted her by his side in the glamour world. She didn't like it.

They loved each other. We knew Khushi always looked out for Arnav's emotions. But Arnav too understood Khushi's sensitive nature. They didn't bicker but calmly resolved the matter. It says that he also understood Khushi's needs.

May be that's why he tried for a child for the sake of their relationship but I think Khushi didn't stop the pills because she was wiser than Arnav. She knew Arnav wasn't really ready and won't be happy and a good father in the future. So better not to spoil a child's future by bringing him/her in the world.

Arnav always had strong protective instincts. And maybe because of that he always wanted to control their lives. He always thought Khushi was fragile, and so there wasn't equality in their relationship.

But she is strong. She will come out of this grief even with all the pain and hurt.

Khushi's parents are not entirely wrong in their thinking considering the environment they are living in. They want their daughter to be happy, have a second chance at life.

I was with Khushi, when she thought how uncomfortable she would be with physical intimacy with someone else. Let's see what she decides after meeting Shyam and his daughter. May be she will take the chance of being a mother. And if Khushi's father is right in judging Shyam, he is a better person too who will treat her equally.

Arnav I guess was just frustrated with their differences and wanted good for Khushi too. So he thought separation would be better because Khushi might find a better companion in future. Now that it's happening, he doesn't want to destroy it. He can see that the other person can provide Khushi with the happiness that he couldn't offer her.

But he is missing her terribly in his life. One can feel sad for him. But he has to go on as it was him who took that decision.

Women always face the worse of everyone when it comes to things like lack of kids after some years of marriage. The pressure is immense, folk don't realize how it could be counter productive. Even if the fault lies with the man, it is the woman who gets blamed in many ways. That's how our society is sadly. So I can see her position, someone who has been browbeaten so many times that she just wants to give in. I wonder if she sees herself in that child, someone bereft of support. Or the child could help bring meaning to her life, one which she had obliterated for others. I can see the anguish that Arnav is going through, but he was responsible for where he finds himself. There is nothing wrong if he doesn't want to have kids, but in marriage that is a decision which should be taken together by the couple.

This was incredibly painful to read! And I mean it in a good way.

Okay you’re spoiling me with your comments. I read through the whole thing already but I knew I needed proper time to respond to it. Thank you so much for being this invested the story, discussing it here and with me and finding it interesting enough to share. I think you were one of the very first one who did that and found enough readers that it had kept me motivated to write. :)

I keep looking forward to all of you and your feedbacks on the chapters eagerly. And you guys never disappoint! ♥️

And I did not intend to throw you guys off balance with SMJ. 😃I Think all of you saw it coming. And I promise Khushi will take a decision way sooner than you all expect. The suspense won’t last too long, but what will all of you think of it, will again be a crucial point for me :)

You are also on point with your observations. And your last sentence is especially important. Even unknowingly, the daughter in laws are always more reachable and sometimes people don’t care that they are hurting their daughter in laws for things she has no control over. Sadly, it’s way more common even in today’s times.

Such depth of characters, such emotions!

It's been a while since I cried reading something, but man, did this open floodgates 😂

So so beautifully written 👏🏾

I knew the reaction to Shyam’s entry is always going to be strong. :)

Even in this story, we have no reason to trust that he is a changed man. The only thing that’s validating it is Khushi’s father’s judgement. It can be right, it can be wrong. Will come to that very soon.

To the last point, good for your friend and her partner. As long as both of them are fine with it, I personally don’t have any strong opinions about choosing to have a kid or not. Understanding each other is way more important in my eyes than the traditional norms of life.
