And this is to justify SaiRat getting back together. They could have just shown rinse and repeat of Samrat-Paakhi-Virat where Satya sees that Sai isn't over Viru and goes away and SaiRat come closer because of the kids and Satya sends the divorce papers.

Or, accident hua hi tha, kill of Satya, make Amba guilt trip Sai unknowingly, so Sai leaves and Viru supports her.

Kaunsi aafat aa jaati?

M nt gonna get into SaiRat dynamics, but Viju was wrong, he was horrible to the women and their children. Now, because he is dying, he gets a free pass for practically ruining Amba's life? And don't give the gun to the head excuse, if he can hide being with a woman for 3+ months, he can easily atleast have one last meeting with her to tell her honesty ki "didi, nahi aa saka, sorry, you are on your own?"

Maybe it's just me, no offence intended, but movies and TV is the last place where I look for advice/examples on how to live my life and deal with real life situations.

I know ITV paints women in a very toxic way (except rare cases) and mostly only watch for the chemistry btw lead couples until even that can't keep me from tuning out anymore.

This might be an unpopular opinion here, but Saaya bore me to death: 0 chemistry!

Unfortunately TIIC purposefully casted a man for Sai that she has no romantic chemistry with and the SL doesn't really help much... he might be a much better man than V, but Saaya being a bore doesn't make me want to watch their scenes together (whereas, no matter how s*hitt* a person V is, any Sairat scenes are still enjoyable due to the actors' chemistry).

Add to that the very little development given to the Adhikaari family: there was no need to add an entire family when they were gearing up for a generation leap: Virakhi divorcing, V trying to convince Sai for a chance and her resisting and them eventually confronting their issues would've made for a better SL.

Unpopular opinion may be....should have bought an actor who could outshine virat of GC days ....and could replace intial sairat...whether its trp audience or online ones on YouTube the views for sairat scenes are higher.... at present on ITV hitesh who is doing udiyaa is better than others....tmd actors are also fine....and NB....watched yrkkh for ml but now unbearable.....sudhanshu too does a good job....

Coming to ema and vijumba story .....nothing can justify it...after having kid with wife....found love on other lady.... what's the mistake of wife....😡

Saiya wasn't meant to be together by the makers...I don't blame the actor ofc but no base was given to either the character Satya or the pair...They wanted to increase the episodes with another third angle which didn't work.

Many may disagree but the chemistry was great primarily due to the characters Sai and Virat more than the actors Neil and Ayesha...They developed a strong story for Sairat while Saiya had no base at all

Guess the moment people start rejecting the glorification of abusive love, shows like Ghum won't survive, yes the makers of such shows dont owe moral responsibility but they do lead to people becoming toxic.. a lot of videos are there all over internet where there are women talking abt the association they feel with leading lady's characters..SP themselves showed few where Anu helped a woman move on in life, SP even with all its regressive content has been successful in giving good message.. this show failed there and the acceptance it got from well educated women is what disheartens me.. Dissociation with the whole muck that this show has been showing since it's commencement because u see you should not follow fiction is not all.. Nobody can deny than in a emotion driven country, entertainment does become a reality.. a lot of women wanted a man like Kabir singh because of glorified the character was in movie.. there is a reason why "Hasi toh Phasi" was used in real life yo harass women, women colleagues and friends, they are still being used, in this age and time.

The least we can do is call it out..Instead of dissociation with the morality aspect of it, i guess it was better if individuals dissociate with the show..the fact is no body Sairat fans, Satya fans, Sai or Virat fans, or even Patralekha fans signed up for the show that Ghum has become today.. That's enough to call out the show and channel if not sense of morality.

I do feel there is line to the whole belief system of " Tv show hi toh hai"! If everybody saw it that way , Pehredaar Piya ki would have been successful as well..kids women young girls, young boys, everyone get affected with what they consume in form of entertainment, love stories on a daily basis

In any case I am sorry if I have offended anyone with my post, its what i Feel when it comes to content that is easily available to everyone easily now.

I agree.

I think there's 2 reasons why Saaya flopped: lack of romantic chemistry and lack of interest by the makers to develop the story btw the two, whereas we saw Sairat grow months and months with their highs and lows and that very reason helped many of us into becoming their fans.

Satya became enamoured w Sai, let's be honest, outta nowhere and that made me doubt all his talks about his undying love for his ex.

No offence taken.

Maybe it's because I'm a fairly new viewer of Ghum and don't know more than half the crap they've shown that I'm able still enjoy the leads chemistry.

And where there are cases like "Pehredaar...", there also cases like Balika Vadhu.

Yes, there isn't much positive to say about todays ITV dramas, but in Ghum's case, IMO Sai is one of those characters who gives as good as she gets.

The mistake from the writers was opting for the 3rd angle and not focusing on Sairat having to finally deal with their trust/PP-related issues and using Vinu more to keep them apart and give them angst.

Calling out the show is fine but expecting them to change is a mistake.
