Hi friends,
Bollywood's new star wars
The first one on the list is Sikandar Kher who should positively make his debut after the prolonged delay his film has taken to come out. Surrounded by controversies of being ghost-directed by producer Sanjay Gupta, Woodstock Villa will finally release on May 30. Interestingly Sikandar Kher will compete with himself when his second film Summer 2007 will release on June 13. A point to be noted is that the makers of both these films have been in a way indirectly competing with each other trying to claim themselves as Sikandar Kher's debut vehicle.
And the most interesting point about this film is that not only its lead actor is making his debut but simultaneously the director, cinematographer, music director, production outfit and every possible person from the crew are a first-timer.
July will see Ram Gopal Varma's Contract with an all-new starcast.
Ramu promises that Contract will be on the lines of Satya that had no stars but boasted of some real great performances through its completely new starcast.
RGV also goes ahead to claim that Contract will give Bollywood it's next Bhiku Mhatre.
Harry Baweja has put everything on stake to give his son Harman Baweja the best possible launch with Love Story 2050 budgeted at a whopping Rs 60 crores.
Meanwhile its not just actors but even directors who are making debut in the upcoming months. As many as a dozen directors have their first films lined up for release in June and July. The names include Ashim Samanta (Don Muthuswami), Rajkumar Gupta (Aamir), Mashhoor Amrohi (Hum Se Hai Jahaan), Suhail Tatari (Summer 2007), Jaideep Varma (Hulla), Abbas Tyrewala (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na), Farouque Kabir (Allah Ke Bandey), Lucky Kohli and Rakesh Bajaj (Hari Puttar), Rumi Jaffrey (God Tussi Great Ho), Neeraj Pathak (Right Ya Wrong), C Kkompany (Sachin Yardi) and Arjun Bali (Ru Ba Ru).
Looking forward for this fresh lot from Bollywood!
