There is lot of debate on such relations in feminist circles abroad also and many pseudo wokes get defensive and call it consensual relationship of adults but do not want to see how easy it is for a man of such power to influence and use a younger woman and why women operating in male dominated power structures, often have no choice but to fall in such relations to secure life or get ahead in life or career or get access to upward social mobility. There is something unsettling and exploitative about it. It is not always genuine love. The more powerful, older man naturally gets a kick or ego boost from manipulating a much younger woman and have her wrapped around his fingers.

My reply was a response to this message somehow this message didn't get quoted. So I mentioned Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky as an perfect example of the above relationship. I wasn't commenting on "the marriage dynamics" just clarifying.

Kids in these cases have no choice except to accept what dad does, and look like happy family in public, even if they feel sad or embarassed about what dad does. There is a so called image to maintain and pressure to not speak against dad. Ghar ki baat ghar mein rakho mentality.

Ira being close to Fatima is same as Junaid and Ira befriending Kiran eventually as well and not being distant or wary of her. Reena's probably raised them to not be bitter.

I agree. This Aamir link up has destroyed Fatima's image and affected her career badly. She has been made subject of memes online with trolls and MGTOW types calling her gold digger and whatnot.

I think Fatima's background and having difficult life made her more vulnerable target and makes this relationship look even more problematic. It is pure vulturing to prey on a younger woman who has had her own traumas in life and is no way a match to you in any aspect. Such women are prone to be exploited by anyone pretending to be sweet or lend them a shoulder to lean on. I feel bad for her. Her image is screwed even if she never marries Aamir, as trolls speculate.

When Aamir fell in love with Fatima (whatever kind of love it was/is), he went to a friend and asked him about getting into an affair with Fatima...the answer was, that he would not only destroy the girl's career but also his own...
