I am not going to take names as this is against the forum rules but a show despite being cruel stays on top for 1 reason only on ITV. Strong and superwoman female lead. She might cry, and sulk but she always has the knack of sacrificing where necessary and moving on when required. A lot of second leads are loved and yes, the audience root for them.
Off late Cheaters, soft cheaters or emotional manipulators shows are shutting the shop because of confused feelings. Vamps would trap, Heroines save the day, and Infidelity is unforgivable for the main lead. If you see other shows where the heroine moved on, they are topping charts too because the left man is shown as a parallel track. BV writing was the biggest example. Even the ML had an interesting track! So, HA or second lead has got nothing to do with the doom, it was the writing or lack of making Virat making a problematic parallel track. Sai looks funny running to Virat and shall always be so. Life moves on! The writers failed to show that with depth.
