She don't have to ask his permission even if he was her official boyfriend. It's her professional life and she can take that decision on her own and Salman don't have any business in it unless she is doing something illegal or unethical. Salman was over reacting for sure but he wasn't out of character. He reacted like that and was sulking when rafi said he is getting married and moving abroad. He gave similar taunts to rafi as well by calling him a future housewife.

It's just that Salman's behaviour and reactions are understandable whether it's right or wrong whereas Aaliya's is not understandable when it comes to Asfar. All her indirect taunts and rudeness and anger towards salman is understandable, her being unreasonable or unpractical and stubborn about the house just because of her urge to make her father happy is very understandable, even after being a strong independent women, she and tanya questioning phupho for fighting with aagaji even though phupho is right is understandable. She was being a hypocrite but we all become hypocrites when it comes to our loved ones. It's easy for a third person to see how wrong aagaji is in this whole property dispute but for daughters that admire and love their fathers, the father will always be right and everyone standing against him is wrong. That's as real and raw as it can get. Now compare this Aaliya to the Aaliya we see with asfar. Their scenes looks very unnatural and forced. She is taking decisions on his behave and then shows him attitude. Asks the lawyer her boss asked to come inside his cabin to go home and she herself goes to his cabin and gives him a long life lesson, arranging a meeting when the boss specifically said he dont want that meeting and when he questions her she again starts giving him lecture. She gets away with all this not because she is right but because asfar has a soft spot for her. Now she will decorate his house without his knowledge and get away with that as well.

It's like Asfar-aaliya scenes are written by some cheesy YA writer and the rest of the drama is written by a classic urdu novelist. The difference is that huge.

i think salman was like that from the start 🤔

The thing is not that we want a flawless Aaliya. I never had any problem with her rudeness or attitude with Salman in the initial episodes. It's very understandable that a lot of women who are working in a male dominating job gets defensive and rude over time because they have to constantly prove their worth at every point of their career simply because of their gender and it can be exhausting. Every single character in this drama has some kind of flaws. Nobody is perfect here so Aaliya having flaw is not the issue here.

Here the problem is the execution of aaliya-asfar scenes mostly. In one scene Aaliya is shown to be uncomfortable enough with asfar's talk that she wants to resign the job then they show asfar and Aaliya going to the site without a driver and then him forcing her to go on lunch with him and starts asking her personal questions. Their entire car ride was weird. Suddenly she is comfortable around him. Then again she makes weird faces when asfar speaks about salman and her earrings. Then the next day she gives him a cold shoulder and next we see a precap with her decorating his house with flowers and candles to celebrate his birthday on his mother's death anniversary. Even if aaliya did that to get through asfar for shehrish and her deal, isn't the gesture a little too much? Even her father would have been angry or disappointed in her if he sees her at her boss's house at night with her phone switched off. In a normal scenario it puts Aaliya in a very bad light and she put herself in that situation. In this drama she represents a strong and independent working woman. Showing her doing all that for asfar with whom she don't have any personal relationship with is pretty hard to understand. The actual episode might not be as bad as the precap makes it look because salman don't look angry or surprised and neither does Aaliya whereas asfar looks a little surprised seeing salman there. But this whole scenario of Aaliya forcefully trying to celebrate asfar's bday is little too dramatic and ott for a drama like KA.

Aaliya has always been shown as a very sensible no nonsense type of girl. So her behaviour with asfar looks forced and don't go with the Aaliya we see with the rest of the characters. She has always behaved as if Salman is supposed to listen to her demands and would act out if he don't. So her being rude and unprofessional at the conference room was also in character.

@bold But this is my issue. Everyone is judging her for celebrating Asfar's birthday too harshly and considering it something from which she can't return. I also feel it is unnecessary and stupid if she herself does all these without anyone's knowledge. I am definitely not justifying this. But why is everyone so immensely critical about it?

I fully agree her behaviour with Asfar is weird but she HAS to work there. Otherwise any girl after hearing all those double meaning lines from her boss would have left the job then and there. But Aliya doesn't have that option right now.

@Bold I agree completely. But this is not my point. My point is not related to Asfar. It's about Aliya is judged for her action too harshly whereas Salman is not or as you pointed out Aghaji is not.

Ohh. Actually his complete ignorance towards Aliya was a bit shocker for me. Though Rafi's situation was quite similar, I never thought Salman would not even listen to Aliya and also tell her to make her own decision which almost sounded like an unofficial break up

It's mostly because Salman's behaviour is understandable and aaliya's is not. That i guess is the case in this thread

But i guess in the rest of the social media it's because women are generally judged harder than men because we all grew up hearing men will be men. So whatever men does don't surprise others the same way when a woman does it. A girl throwing acid at boy for rejecting her is a more sensational news than a boy doing the same.

Also Aaliya represents working women in a drama produced by a foundation working for women empowerment and is written by a well respected writer. So showing her doing something that senseless which in reality can taint her image forever in the corporate world will raise way more eyebrows than a love sick guy being jealous and insecure and throwing tantrums which most of the times ends up looking childish. Some of Salman's tantrums were also shown in a light hearted way which makes it come off as cute rather than annoying or in a negative light. Aaliya's gesture for asfar is neither gonna be a light hearted scene nor gonna be cute. It's gonna end up being a serious and intense scene. The way a scene is executed also changes the way audience sees the character's actions.

Look at phupho and thanvi scene from last episode. the entire family is forcing a marriage on phupho out of her will and her brother accepted a proposal without her consent. But we all were laughing at the shenanigans of the aaga family and thanvi and phuphos reactions were shown in a comical way.

He has too much nakras when he gets angry or sad. Aaliya is gonna have a hard time in the future 🤣

But Aaliya is aggressive when she gets annoyed with him. So he is also gonna have a hard time in the future as well🤣

All the best to the future saaliya🤣

@bold Exactly 💯

2nd @bold Salman's words about Aliya in front of Phupho and his mother were harsh and almost character assassinating Aliya. But yes when his mother aggressively contradicted him, he listened to her and seemed to consider her words

Salman got a reality check for his behaviour and when Aaliya stopped giving him attention he himself started talking to her. He is also facing the consequences of his behaviour. Aaliya was already hesitating to enter into a relationship with him and this action of his made her further more conscious. Before that she never thought salman could be a like a typical mard. He ruined his own image in front of Aaliya.

In aaliya's case she is getting away with her unprofessional behaviour for way too long. It's not just with asfar, she was a little unprofessional with shehrish and also when she was working as a real estate agent. There is an episode where shehrish tells her to be in office in 10mins but we see her helping tanya make soup and then she is in the entire scene of aagaji and shammo drinking that soup. A lot of people pointed that flaw. It might be the fault of the director but it affected Aaliya. Then in the initial episode it was clearly shown salman won shehrish's deal fair and square. But Aaliya barged into his office and asked for 1% share in the deal which makes no sense at all. When salman refused she broke their promise and sabotaged his next client. She even went to thanvi and painted a wrong image of salman. In the last episode salman was being professional with her but she rudely slide the file to him simply because he wasn't giving into her. She entered the conference room in a good mood and she kept looking at salman but he wasn't properly looking at her. She started getting annoyed from there onwards. But it's salman and it's understandable why she gets away with everything. 😆

With Asfar we all have talked about it more than enough. I hope there is consequences to her actions next episode or Salman already knows about it. It will totally ruin the writing and aaliya's character if they show her to be right because her forcefully entering into asfar's personal life cannot be swept under the rug just like that and showing her to be in the right and everyone else in the wrong for judging her is also unrealistic.

For a character that represents working women Aaliya has been unprofessional in way too many occasions and got away with it.
