Although I think we are discussing 2 topics here already here, sticking to the title of the topic: Target audience: (although I will have another post with the running second topic)

Who is the audience? Thats a million dollar question.

Who would agree to the absolute immorality flouted on the show?

Who would agree with misrepresentation of customs and traditions?

Who would agree to the horrible and merciless butchering of such important social causes?

As pointed out earlier, TRPs are No indication at ALL since, despite considerable number of people claiming to have left watching the TRPs remain constant.

I don't support Anuj's stupidity. He is a powerful business tycoon and should come out clean on this Maya fiasco. But Anupama is the root cause behind this mess and can't be declared victim either. She has her lion's share of blunders.

Anuj Kapadia’s blunder, mistakes & dishonesty surpasses Anupama’s at this point. Nothing justifies what he did or what he is doing or what he’s gonna do. His guilt means zero at this point.. Anuj Kapadia cannot be redeemed or justified. Whereas Anupama has been getting redemption since the start of New years.. so yeah!

Now coming to the running topic.

What has Anuj done that Anupama hasn't done already?

There were 2 arguments:

1. on Anupama staying in a house full of people etc. Where as Anuj is alone with Maaya.

2. Neglect being a basis for divorce.

For the first point:

If the argument were that Anuj stayed at Maaya's without anyone but a child, knowing her intention, then, would the same argument be relevant to judge

a. Anupama when she went to Mumbai on a business trip alone with Anuj (before marriage when she and everyone knew he liked her) or

b. when Kinjal went for her conference alone leaving a month old child behind. Or

c. Anuj when he went to the picnic with Maaya and Choti Anu or

d. Despite knowing Vanraj's intentions and confessions and Leela's subtle approval, her visiting Shah House in the absence of Kavya.

2. Neglect being a basis for divorce:

Well, there is enough evidence of Neglect (if nothing, Maaya could retrieve some videos) to prove negligence towards the marriage.

If anything, Anupama can file for divorce on the basis of deserting her.

Which, I think, (if Anuj doesn't do) she (Anupama) should. AfterALL, this is a hindrance to her Udaan. She took the moral highground to file for divorce immediately when the truth of Vanraj-Kavya came out and rightly so.

There is difference between being sympathetic and obsessed
