It helps them polarise and push their agenda.

Propaganda and vilifying a certain community sells while another state is burning. There's also the point of laying groundwork for the upcoming elections. They'd rather celebrate a work of propaganda like this than actually celebrate the movie(s) showcasing the alleged greatness of their own culture/belief, like the "Hindutva" movie that came and flopped its way out of the theaters last year.

My dear psuedo-seculars, the divide always EXISTED. The Hindus, a majority, were always treated as step-children in their own country. Everything was alright till they took the crap lying down. I won't call it completely fake.....I have heard of these kinds of instances here in USA also a few years back.....but it is not 32000......it becomes a propaganda with that kind of bull shit numbers...I am all for showing the real thing....like kind of a warning to the young girls.....but what they are creating is a scare against a community.....

It is like if HW made a movie about rapes in India...and put those numbers as a ridiculous 50000 in an year......imagine how that will make the Indian men look......tell the real story...yes some drama needs to be added but don't put bullshit numbers.

Also banning the movie in some places is also wrong....let the people decide what they want to see.
