In your ff, you beautifully portrayed dev and vidhi, but I have a hard time imagining rachna's face as your vidhi.

Because vidhi (from serial) never behaved the way a 21 year old in love would behave.

My pov

Dev was young when his mom passed away. But his dad got a young woman as his step mom.. I'm guessing eben though she was never evil, but she never gave the unconditional love that a child deserves so he kept the balghar thing too hidden from her. He assumed the job of bread winner of his family at the cost of his own personal life, which Sathyavathi and her kids have taken advantage of..

We sometimes see this aspect in families ( not necessarily step mother) .. Where mothers provide unconditional love to the second or third child even if the child is a brat but the first kid always needs to be responsible and perfect to deserve her ove ( here love is not unconditional) ..

I think this is a kind of emotional abuse. Dev has been enduring this from the childhood and with Vidhi too.. Instead of setting boundaries ( with Hamla and also hilly) he has learnt to accept emotional abuse. He has never seen unconditional love. This is my observation. Could be wrong.

I think Rachna and Iq have amazing chemistry. I cannot imagine anyone else play vidhi.

In my FF, Vidhi doesn't have a happy family. Her relation with her dad is strained. She was a shy kid who had no one else to open up to with lot of self esteem issues. And in Dev, she finds a friend, mentor and that she never got from her father.. Usually young women with father issues tend to date men older than them. I think in nuksh too, vidhi's emotional growth is stunted due to her famiy's insanity. So she falls in love with Dev who offers the much needed love and affection she was denied her whole life.

Had they focussed more on leads and less on family dranaa nuksh would have been a classic

My FF Dev is an egoist and possessive , which Vidhi likes about him, at the same time stands up to hiim in her own way with our being submissive.

And we already had that discussion a few weeks ago about the childhood abuse and insecurities, so concur.

Yup yup. I feel bad for both, him & Rachna. I hate Vidhi but like Rachna, poor thing she puts in so much effort.
