Possible.
But if he gives her just one divorce, she doesn't have to marry someone else in order to marry him again (after iddah is over) or stay married to him if they reconcile before iddah is over.
If a man takes his wife back after one divorce before she has completed her iddah period declaring verbally that he is taking her back or if he has intercourse with her before the iddah period is over, she can just go back to him. They won't have to remarry.
If he has divorced her once and iddah period got over then he has to propose marriage to her like any other man and get married to her again. Same procedure if two divorces have taken place over a period of time.
But if it is the third and final divorce, then she becomes haraam for him. Then, she has to marry someone else. If that second man divorces her or dies, she can remarry her first/ex husband but this particular marriage can't be done, can't be consummated and can't be broken if the sole intention is to get back to the first/ex husband.
In cases of three effectual divorces in one go (haraam/strictly forbidden to do but still effective), the same halala procedure is applied, I think.
Anyone looking for authentication and correct information on this, please double check/research also.
Buttt like you said, show's ending, they won't probably complicate it so much. Huge ugly hurtful fight it prolly is. 😆
