If u really love apple would you convert apple into banana forever? Won't you accept apple as apple? 🤓
Edit - watched the full video... And like I said before, the thing that surprised me the most was the presence of so many girls and ladies coming to watch this movie. Even i found girls coming with their mothers to watch this movie. This movie is definitely creating awareness regarding the common tricks employed by conversion mafia to brainwash impressionable girls and guys.

Women converting because of marriage doesn't just happen because of religion but also because of patriarchy. Women are expected to give sacrifices in a marriage. She's the one changing her surname, leaving her parents and home, sometimes even her city and her job. That is why its considered natural for her to change her religion as well. While its legal in India for two people of different religion to get married and still practice their own religion, its still very uncommon, especially in small towns and rural areas.
Men still live with their parents. How common is it for a joint family to accept a daughter-in-law from a different religion AND let her practice it in their house even after marriage? Its not even just limited to Islam. I come from a Christian family and in Christianity there are different churches (Catholics and Protestants). I've seen it in my own family. While love marriages are not forbidden and couples from different churches can get married even in an arranged marriage setting, the girl is still expected to leave her church and join the church the man follows. Their kids would also follow the church of the father.
My mom has a colleague who is a Christian who married a Hindu guy. Neither of them changed their religion even after marriage. My mom and her friends make fun of them. Ask why she didn't change her religion and convert into a Hindu. They call their kids "half breed". I tried to make her understand how bad her mentality is but she doesn't understand. That's how deep rooted patriarchy is. Even for Hindu families, its very uncommon to accept a muslim daughter-in-law.
That is why inter-religious couples find it convenient for either to change their religion. Most of the time its the woman because of course she's expected to give all the sacrifices. Especially when they're not very religious.

Ok... I get your point about the patriarchy thing. Also that is more convenient cause the special marriage act in India does make certain things difficult.
But targeted brainwashing for conversion is also a fact and is actually happening. The questions they ask Hindus are same. I studied from a convent co-ed school and one of teachers used to pose the same questions to us as shown in the movie. Mind you at that time we were studying in class 2 (very impressionable).
Moreover for Hindu families its very risky to have a Muslim daughter in law cause of life threats from the girls family. If u do a simple Google search u will find many such cases. I come across such cases on twitter very frequently.
No-one is objecting conversion per se but we are objecting targeted conversion by brainwashing or by hiding one's real religious identity to trap girls and then pressuring them to convert.
I honestly think conversion has nothing to do with patriarchy and everything to do with the setup of Abrahamic religions. Mostly Islam and Christinity and to a lesser extent Judaism.
Now coming to your mom's friend. 99.9% Christians will not convert for the sake of a marriage. Men or women. They will usually have the other party convert. If the non Christian spouse does not convert then sometimes it is alright but the children will be brought up as Christians and baptised in the Church.
My own sister married a Catholic, did not convert but was made to sign a paper by the Church that she will bring her child up as a Catholic and have it baptised.
I have a friend who married a Hindu man who did not convert at the time of marriage but her children were brought up in the Catholic church and baptised. They have absolutely nothing to do with Hinduism.
That is just the way it is.
Your mom knows this and is a lot more worldly wise than you give her credit for. She is just having a little fun because she knows her friend will not give her the real answer.

I haven't watched the movie yet. I don't know about the questions asked in the movie.
Yes, targeted conversion by brainwashing is a problem. Question is how should we differentiate that with genuine conversions or conversions done for convenience like because of patriarchy. How do we even define brainwashing? I'm not saying brainwashing doesn't exist, but its still women making the choice. They're adults. They're responsible for their own choices. They're not dumb who can fall for anything.
But lets say a small portion of women are really dumb and can get brainwashed. Then the only solution for this is to give women more freedom. The more they get to see the outside world, face challenges and get life experiences, the more easily they can see through a guy's bullshit. But since women are treated like kids in India, with men making all the decisions for them, they have very little real world experience. Normalising inter-religious marriages would also be a good step, but its a long way to go.

Umm no actually their kids still follow Hinduism so patriarchy won there as well.
Why are you assuming it is patriarchy?
Maybe the mom agrees with Hindu fundamnetals but did not change due to her family commitments.
Converting out of Christianity is not easy either.

Differentiating genuine conversion from targeted conversion is difficult when one person is hiding their Identity or faking their Identity to trap another one into conversion. But when the person is not hiding their religious identity and yet targeting for conversion there are certain tell tale signs like - denigrating Gods of other religion, instilling fear or persuading through desirable things or pleasures.
People say adults are not dumb for making certain choices. And then same people question them for choosing a certain party or PM. First make up your mind whether u want to say adult people cannot be made (through presuation or fear) to make certain choices or whether they CAN be brainwashed to make certain choices. When u say - "But lets say a small portion of women are really dumb and can get brainwashed." Then that means bjp brainwashing and polarising such a large population based on religion is not possible since so many adult people cannot be brainwashed right? First decide on one thing whether a large number of adults can be brainwashed or not. Then we will continue this argument.
The real reason why conversion of Hindu women is so easy now because parents don't care to educate their children about Hinduism like people of other religions do about their own religion. When the roots are weak it's easier to dislocate a plant (convert a person).
