2) Atleast people are now ready to acknowledge conversion IS a real issue. Thats a first!

1) Religion or not, it’s targeting a community. Should a movie be made on peeing with a false number, is my question. Will we hype that movie as much as we doing for this one ?

2) When did you see people not acknowleging it. 😕 Did I miss something ?

Just to remind everyone, according to Indian Govt. Data, Kerala is the highest educated state, ranks #1 on Healthcare and has highest Human Development Index in the country. I get it if a Keralite is offended by this movie as they are constantly in news for communal harmony even during Covid.

Exol, I guess no one hailing the movie (watched or not) will read this...and less what is written in the other (red) links.

Honestly, I still have to come across (here in the review-thread) a really good review from someone positive towards the movie not only stating that the movoie is a must-watch or worth a watch or important to watch...or did I miss them all???

1) you are comparing apples to oranges in the first comment

2) as for targetting a community, we watched OMG and PK even though both the movies ask some very relevant questions about the practices in a religion and critiques it. Aamir to date is my favourite actor, whatever be his stance. Every religion has a set of problematic areas..but when it comes to anything about malpractices of "one particular religion" everybody starts labelling the other party as Islamophobic, communal hatred, we dont understand the social fabric blaah blaah..I am sorry but it just shows how the majority is treated as a second class citizen and the oppressed minority loves to use the victim card.

a positive review from...a certain Naziria of a certain gulte.com site

https://www.gulte.com/moviereviews/240180/review-the-kerala-story

conclusion:

"In The Kerala Story, there is no time to relax as the film has serious issues told in a brutal manner. The Kashmir Files was one film which had its own storytelling and agenda and the same happens with The Kerala Story as well. Some will like it immensely and the others will have reservations watching it. But in reality, the film is a hard hitting drama told in a brutal manner."

Dilsha: Why r connecting ISIs with religion. What’s with the notion that people want Islamic state. …All this that’s happening is a bunch of extremists. If anyone knew religion properly they wud be living peacefully and not harming anyone.

If this thread is about the movie then talk abt it alone without dragging any religion. But u will ignore everything else I said and take one thing and comment. Obviously the divide and rule policy working in people’s minds.if we want to talk abt girls kidnapped or misused it’s not just a one religion thing. And not all who fall in love from another have love jihad in mind.

So, going back to the content of the movie...here a review...I would like to know if this is in the movie like written here (the bold part)

I saw video after the people saw the movie. Too much negativity. We r scared of Muslims (no comments abt people from other religion who earn by living in gulf countries ) whoever doesn’t say jay shree ram doesn’t belong here ( what abt Christian’s, parsis and other religions I wonder who live in India )and obviously ignoring whatever I said cos they don’t want to see it.like the director saying Hindus don’t say their religion in Kerala. So yeah. Ignoring stuff and fighting. And those who r commenting abt newbies I am definitely an old member unless I knew this was gonna happen and created an account 15 years back. It’s sad to see such a state. The hatred. Really. And if u really want to the Kerala story it’s what happened in 2018 and there’s a movie out now where people helped each other in a matter of crisis. And yesterday a dr was stabbed to death in Kottayam. A young house surgeon by a patient and today the dr community was in solitary fir that dr and asking to prevent future attacks on doctors. No one bothered with the religion stuff. So there’s hope. I am dr myself and I don’t ask people their religion when I treat them nor do the others when I go for treatment. I don’t want to divert topic but after reading all this made me think where r we heading. But today when I saw what happened made me think yeah bunch of people might target a certain group but there r people who will stay together in times of crisis without looking at each others religion

I can only post those reviews where I don't have to consent into the cookies...

Anuj Kumar (The Hindi) has good things to say about the protagonist-actress but the rest isn't very positive relative to the execution of the movie.

Again the execution of the subject (not the subject itself) isn't well accepted:

Ironically, the same Pathan fans who were telling people to watch the movie before commenting on it, are the same ones who are bashing this movie without even seeing it. 🤣

No-one spoilt their pathan review thread either but they are continuously showing their pettiness here. But I'll admit It's both funny and pathetic to see them jumping like a cat on a hot tin roof here.🤷🏼‍♂️😆

I read about 2018, the movie...that is one movie that hails togetherness and secular behaviour...

Do people really need catastrophic events to remember that they are all one when not being marked other than being humans...?

Couldn't a government recommend such a movie and make it taxfree.

Yes, of course, Modi could do it, no? And instruct his followers to watch it with all kind of people...and in schools...in villages...

ah, Clochette...dream on!

Can someone give a short brief on the exact issue with this thread?

The content and validity of the movie??

Mention of a specific religion???

Movie review page is having everything than an actual review......

Thousands of movies are based on true events and do include few elements of fiction... So y so much debate and religion being mentioned??

Kargil girl movie also had issue with facts ... Aise angry religion fight jaise toh nahi hua na??

Y can't one movie be taken as it is and keep opinion in a generic manner and let it be??? 💁‍♀️💁‍♀️💁‍♀️
