You are right, but only in a certain way...
"People of any religious denomination can support a secular society, but the adoption of secularism as an identity is typically associated with non-religious individuals, including atheists. "(Wikipedia - secularism)
The key is the bold part! (for most of the discussions here this support lacks, I think).
A secular society is "defined by the separation of religion from civil affairs and the state, and may be broadened to a similar position seeking to remove or to minimize the role of religion in any public sphere." (same place)
So, what a kind of awareness has this movie in mind? ISIS is not a religion!

Wasn't that exactly the purpose of the movie...to iniciate "heated" discussions? (As I learned, the movie itself doesn't seem to be worth it...but I don't have the possibility to watch it, so it's an assumption).
too many newbie id's in this thread , just what i expected 😆

Haven't watched it yet, I do plan on seeing it once I'm back in my home state.
I don't mind the topic they chose to make a movie on, but I'm also not going to believe all the things shown to me on the big screen. Call me a sceptic but it is what it is.
I understand what they are showing on our movie screens does happen and has happened to many around us but how that came to be, may or may not be accurately represented.
That has been my only issue with the claims this movie has made. I'm not invalidating kisi ki reality, I'm just making a case for the fact that this movie might have failed to give us their whole reality.
About the intent behind this film, whatever it may be, as long as it doesn't send out the message of all muslims being evil, I'm fine with it. War against terrorism doesn't have to become war against islam. It is a war against evil and should remain that way.
Heated discussions don't necessarily have to mean personal attacks. I just feel some responses here were rude and nasty on more than one occasion.
My interests are as " veiled" as the remarks relative to me...and those members won't (don't want to) understand the difference between Pathaan (whatever quality label it gets)...and why The Kashmir Files was criticised as a propaganda movie and now The Karala Story equally is.
Both the latter induce hate...

As you learned from who? Twitter? Or a member(s) that feeds in to your preconceived notions about the movie? There were many members who recommended the movie, said it was worth a watch in this review thread, but somehow you decided it’s not worth it despite admitting yourself you haven’t seen it. Just curious about the in depth analytical process that went on to make you decide the movie was indeed “not worth it”😊
You have all the right to construe my writing according to your opinion about me... 😊
