I doubt Kareena or Sonam have idea of what feminism is.

They probably did not want to hurt their male fanbase. Hence such a dumbo statement. And the idiotic woohoo

Pair of clown females acting like being called feminist is an insult. Thanks to the early feminists AND male allies of those feminists, you are now able to vote, own property, formally protected against workplace harassment, heck even get your own credit card. But nah…y’all can’t appreciate what you have. Go back to the 50s, seriously. Phyllis Schafly would be proud of you, I am sure.

These ladies or others like Kangana or other Indian women or even women in west bashing feminism, either seem to ignore history and fruits of women's liberation movement. Or they bash feminism or deny links to it, shun the label, only to toe patriarchal line, go along with males, say whatever males say or agree with males or are desperate for male approval and male validation.

Some may also believe same old propaganda that feminism destroys society or means women dominating men.

They also fear being judged or scrutinised if they are good feminists or bad feminists, like Nandita Das and Mallika Dua were questioned for their silence when their dads were outed in #metoo or some are labeled SWERF, TERF or savarna feminists or bashed for either being liberal or radical feminists.

Plenty of plausible reasons why women, especially public figures shun this label.

Kareena who has a show call "what woman want" is saying she believes in equality.. Isnt equality is "what woman and man want"? 🤔 if you focus primarily on one gender, thats not being equal..
