Meerab feared option 2 will happen, so she chose option 3 because with her involvement she becomes the scapegoat so Maryam can escape blame. Maryam will be forgiven by the family because Meerab is the real enemy. She chose the lesser of three evils. Meerab by becoming Maryam’s shield fell on the sword for everyone sake. Her dangerous calculation would have paid off if Maryam’s love was real. Once Maryam decided to to run away Meerab had no real choice.

Meerab predicted right the consequences of helping Maryam, she does not know Anus but she knows Murtasim and MB. MB conveniently blamed Meerab for everything and declared her daughter innocent. MB tried to trick Murtasim into giving a promise of kicking Meerab out of the house, but he doesn’t take the bait. He will never make such a promise because he pledged his wife that he is her home. Meerab sacrificed herself and risked everything because she believes his oath. Meerab thought she was saving Murtasim from a bigger tragedy of disowning his sister for dishonouring the family. But if Meerab is involved Murtasim will find a way to shield her, and by doing so he won’t lose a sister nor will he lose a wife.

MZ places his conditions for release of Maryam which Murtasim immediately rejects. MZ says he will kill his sister, but Murtasim is wasting time with phone tracking and doesn’t relent. When Meerab was in danger during the kidnapping track, he didn’t stop for phone calls, nor was he negotiating with the enemy, nor did he think about consequences when firing his gun, he walked into the pits of fire to get Meerab back.

As soon as it is revealed Meerab was involved in Maryam’s elopement Murtasim doesn’t waste a second before conceding defeat to MZ because his priority now is protecting his beloved wife, if this fight drags out any longer regardless of what happens to JudasYam it will be Meerab’s honour and standing in the family that will be irrevocably destroyed. He loves his sister she is his responsibility, but Meerab is his will to live and only for her sake will he sacrifice it all. Murtasim being her shield and MB blaming her it is as Meerab predicted, what she didn’t foresee was Anus turning out be MZ.

His nightmare coming true with the family attacking his love. This is the terrifying scenario he was desperate to avoid ever since Meerab stuck her nose in Maryam’s business, he is gasping for air looking like he wants to throw up. Murtasim’s fury rising with ‘mujhe humari mohabbath ki kasam’ please tell me you are not this stupid. Meerab can hardly meet his eyes, she steps forward and confesses, and her gaze drops down in shame. Murtasim is traumatized his breath catches in his throat, as he bows down defeated Meerab looks up at him. She wants to say something, but nothing escapes her lips but a whisper of his name.

He confessed his chahath to persuade her to take care of herself first so that she can take care of him, but she will care for him first. She made this vow at their wedding that she will place him above herself, which he said was her punishment but a cruel twist of fate it really is his. Tragically now no matter how much he begs her to put herself ahead of him she won’t, because Meerab is a slave to her promises ‘Mein Meerab hoon apne Vaade ke pakki’. She made a promise to Maryam and her husband, by sacrificing herself she fulfilled both her vows.

Beautifully written as always but the last part is just amazing!

Bold - that is the truth

Underlined- yes Murtasim want to protect meerab no matter whatever has happened....he said again and again "say this is a lie.."......he doesn't want any clarification but want meerab to defend herself he doesn't want her to take any blame but to deny whatever haya is projecting and proving.

His love for meerab is unconditional but he is the head of the family so he has to make choices and take decisions .

Bold+ underlined- ohhhh i so want to believe it❤...we will be lucky if we get meerab s monologue on this can .....i can not believe depth of meerab s love for Murtasim until then i will take meerab s reactions and behavior just as a guilt ridden as she is in a great shock and guilt ridden because of her involvement.

Love is not a logical emotion. It is like asking why did Jack not share the plank with Rose at the end, or why did Romeo and Juliet kill themselves at the end, or how did abhithu even fall in love with stalker Sethu.

No family member can compete with the love of your life, this is true in real life as well. A rare gift bestowed on the very few who are lucky enough to experience such love.

Bold - Yes...exactly❤..... they always have feelings for each other from starting...we can see the fire from the first scene itself.....

Underlined- truth of life. hence we can't compare Murtasim s love for meerab to Murtasim s love for his family

yes, what they need now is the space and if not given then the cycle will go on. I don’t think so his family is that bad they have always reacted according to the situation, MB said this to Meerub only that she chose her for Murtasim because she trusts her capabilities to handle all the responsibilities, she likes her fiery nature so why would she hate her?? She was acting like a mother only, accept it or not we always says that a mother’s love is unconditional, but this selflessness is only limited to her children, and she can’t look beyond her children, for her kids she can fight the world but her vision is narrow and limited, today I heard Aarohi’s dialogue in yrkkh that she is doing everything for her daughter so she is right because a mother can never be wrong and then I realised how we have glorified all this so much that we can’t look past her, we only realised that a mother is selfish when she becomes a mother in law but other than that we oversee her every fault, her every decision and the same has happened with MB we are seeing her from the lens of Meerub’s MiL but when we see her as Mariam’s mother, she is not wrong. She even blamed Haya but haya had her weakness and that was once MB made a choice to trust Meerub over Haya and that backfired on her and that is the difference between Haya and Meerub, their intentions haya can do anything to fulfil her motives but Meerub won’t use anyone’s weakness against them especially when they are so vulnerable.

And about Mariam, she was mesmerised by the thrill she got by meeting and loving Zubair, love has always been forbidden for her but Zubair gave her the opportunity to feel it and in form of Meerub she got the support that what she is doing is right that’s why she didn’t thought about anyone and behaved like a selfish person because this was the only time she got the chance to be selfish so her actions and behaviour were natural just like MB.

And Meerub, even though she was wrong in judging Zubair it was not her fault, she never got the chance to experience the world, so how would she know that people can even deceive you that’s the extent of the pampering she got, her bubble of protection got burst when she was forced and that’s the only thing she thought was bad, so when she saw Mariam is being forced against her wishes, she got the chance she never had during her marriage, During her marriage she was no one but this time she hold the power over everyone, even though khan family always claimed that only Murtasim has the power to take the last decision she knew she had the power over Murtasim, Murtasim’s decision would never be devoid of her presence, In trying to find something which was never there she lost what she always had, she lost the support and trust of the only person who was always there with her. But she also got what she always claimed that she wants and that is freedom and may be this freedom would forced to her realise that freedom does not lie in having no one, it comes with the sense that you can have everything you want and need for yourself.

And for Murtasim, it is the chance he needed but never realised or wanted it, he was tired of being alone and the moment he got Meerub as his wife, he assumed that she will share his every burden, his every emotions, even though he always gave her the time to realise what she wants but he still had that thought in mind that he will never be alone, he got so much emotionally dependent on her that he failed to see that he exists as a person who has responsibilities and a family, because the moment he got to know that Meerub helped Mariam he was ready to risk his dad’s property and the promise he gave to his people to always protect them which he clearly refused in case of her sister. And even after this someone says that he has soft spot for Haya then no matter what he do, he can never be right in their eyes, the guy who refused to have his sister back for his people and responsibilities but agreed for the same when her wife entered the equation can never give anyone the right to hurt his wife but that’s the problem he needs to understand that their is life without Meerub, and if she doesn’t want he can’t have her in his life, he always believed in his love that Meerub wants him but this time he needs to trust Meerub’s love and when he will have faith in her love that would be the moment people like Haya and Zubair would stop existing in their marriage.

And Haya’s side is not worth explaining because what she did was not natural, it was planned to get something and in this she forgot that Murtasim is not a thing to possess. In my mind Musk has used her in his experiment in which he is sending people on Mars so she is in Marssmiley36

Bold - exactly my opinion on MB

Underlined- agree👍 that is the truth

Meerab by becoming Maryam’s shield fell on the sword for everyone sake. Her dangerous calculation would have paid off if Maryam’s love was real.

This is exactly her thoughts.. that was the plan, anas and maryam would get married and come in the morning and yes the family would be mad but they would forgive them and everyone would be happy. She would handle murtasim and murtasim would handle MB. She wanted maryam to get her love and not end up in a forced mariage.

Murtasim is traumatized his breath catches in his throat, as he bows down defeated Meerab looks up at him. She wants to say something, but nothing escapes her lips but a whisper of his name.

This scene was so beautifully done! The acting, the dialogues, the silence, the tears.. everything 💔

She made a promise to Maryam and her husband, by sacrificing herself she fulfilled both her vows.

This is what makes meerab, meerab. Putting others before her!! 😢

Whether we like it or not meerab is EVERYTHING for murtasim now. Yes he loves his family but she is his number one priority always!! This is why he will become cold/majnu and a piece of his left him with her!!!!

Thank you for your analyis ❤️❤️❤️

Now I understand what you were trying to say, She failed to be her number one priority so he made sure to show her what happens when you keep thinking about others you loose the capacity to do it for yourself because you remains busy in pleasing others

Episode 42

REAL ABANDONMENT OR TRIAL SEPARATION???

Madhuji for your sincere defence of me

I shall break my trump promise for you

Murtasim is loading Jump 2.0. His objectives are teach Meerab a lesson, keep mother satisfied for now, and get sister married ASAP. He has probably figured out from Maryam what happened and he knows Meerab is not at fault. Does he not know what BeHaya did, he doesn't see the full picture yet but he suspects. Her comeuppance is coming. Murtasim fighting one battle at a time. First priority ensure wife safety.

Murtasim's second priority is getting Maryam married safely with no more additional dramas, and once that task is accomplished MB will calm down and he will bring Meerab home. He is such a drama queen it will only be a couple of days separation from his wife and he acts like he is dying. Look on the bright side Murtu YOU GET THE BED DUFFOD.

Murtasim is not abandoning Meerab, but protecting her from the onslaught of verbal abuse his mother will dish out if she stuck around. He is the ideal son and the ideal husband, he knows how to balance his relationships. Things are too tense right now If he tries to take a stand for Meerab MB won't stop her Meerab bashing backwaas. He not only physically protects her but also shields her honour, she is not a nobody she is Khan Murtasim Khan's begum and she deserves respect.

Maryam is being led by that snake like she is protecting Maryam from Meerab, Murtasim stands there heart broken he knows Meerab is next to fall and her cries for Maryam breaks his heart and all our hearts. MB unloads her rubbish on Murtasim that he should have killed MZ, he doesn't act like KMK he responds like Meerab's Murtasim, this is his wife's influence on him that no matter what violence isn't the answer.

Murtasim says 'haar to meri apni ghar mein hui', he is referring to the sister not the wife, but Meerab thinks he means her. He led his sister out from captivity in rage he blames her for this betrayal. When MB says get rid of Meerab we conveniently don't see Murtasim's reaction, camera focuses on everyone else Anwar, MB, Meerab but not him. Meerab looks hopefully at her father and her father's reaction is 'sorry this is not my problem'. We don't see Murtasim's reaction till a tear drops from his face, he has decided what must be done. He is only bound to the promises he made his wife. He is not angry just defiant.

Murtasim's act post Rohail incident was real fury but his reaction here is not like before. His first 'Chalo Meerab' was soft and gentle, it had a tone of let me take you away, not get out of our house. He couldn't meet her eyes when he says his second 'chalo Meerab' even more tenderly, but when she imploring calls out Murtasim his barely held together stoic facade crumbles. He looks at her pleading crying eyes, he can't bear to see her like this and says 'kuch mat kehna' what he meant was don't beg my love.

Murtasim grabs Meerab's wrists gently and leads her away, when he is truly angry he pulls her away like she is a rag doll, like he just did Maryam earlier. When he has led her by the wrist or hand it was to take her with him, it is never to lead her away from him. It is also Khan Murtasim Khan signature style, he dragged his sister home by holding her wrist, but Meerab is the prime beneficiary of his protective instincts.

They get to Karachi as fast as possible, Meerab almost hits her head on the dashboard from the sudden stop. With every second ticking by he probably wanted to change his mind and take her back home. He leads her out of the car says you are free now congratulations. That is an odd thing to say can he really believe that Meerab conspired to get Maryam eloped, anus or no anus to escape him. Murtasim knows she is cause oriented but to knowingly jeopardize an innocent girl's life that is not his Meerab, he would never think that low of her. She is his pride and joy, she is badtameez and many other things but a pure soul. The real reason why he won't believe such a farce is because he knows Meerab loves him, she just won't say it out loud and that is a different problem. Thus, such a thought wouldn't cross his mind that she is trying to end their marriage by doing such despicable things.

He weaponized her biggest fear abandonment to punish her for disappointing him. When he says that line 'you are free now' it is to make her believe he has lost faith in her. After the slap this is cruelest thing he has done to her. He wants to frighten her with such thoughts because she did screw up big this time, hence his punishment is more severe. We know from Meerab's prayer letting him down trembles her soul so he finally hit bullseye, this time he will force her to see his POV even if it kills him. Hence this is not just her punishment they will suffer together. He can't see her tears and runs out of there like his pants are on fire. He leaves her stranded on the road traumatized ad in tearful agony. She believes she has lost his trust, his love and is homeless again.

You can ask why didn't he knock on the door and make sure she got safely inside, because he is torn between being placid and taking her back home. To watch her knock on the door, wait for the door to open, see her go inside and the door to shut on his face would have been too much for him to bear. It is final confirmation that she won't be there when he wakes up tomorrow morning and many more mornings, till he gets her back. He has a solution to his pain he will just smoke cigarettes in the garden and won't sleep till she comes back to him.

However when he says that line 'you are free now' it is to make her believe that he has lost faith in her. After the slap this is cruelest thing he has done. He is trying to frighten her with such thoughts because she did screw up big this time, hence his punishment is more severe. We know from Meerab's prayer letting him down trembles her soul so he finally hit bullseye with his punishment. But this is not just her punishment they will suffer together. He can't see her tears and runs out of there like his pants are on fire. He leaves her stranded on the road traumatized, in tearful agony, she has lost his trust, her love and she is homeless again.

Wow. Are you a writer in real life?
This is truly beautiful. I honestly wish everyone could read this, your perception of the scenes are at another level! ❤️

I love how you explained it was out of character for him to be so harsh to her and to throw her back to Karachi without him considering all the options. You’re right, he is protecting her from the onslaught from his household, and to preserve her respect. He can’t bear seeing her degraded by others.

The softness of his voice when he says chalo Meerab shows he’s not angry, just hurt.

His family is satisfied that he is appeasing MB by removing Meerab from the house, but deep inside it is killing him to do this. The knowledge that his wife was a part of this dishonour shatters him.
His tears that only we viewers see were hidden to everyone else. His heart is breaking and the mental exhaustion of the events of the night are straining on him. He is KMK and has to carry everyone’s burden, so his emotional turmoil will just have to wait.
For now it is his love for Meerab that is his driving force.

My most favourite parts are in bold!

From Meerab's POV potential outcomes of Maryam’s elopement were option 1 family forcefully get Maryam divorced and remarried to Naureez which is a crime, even if MB wanted to do this Murtasim won’t and Meerab won’t let him or option 2 whole Khandhan finds out badnaami galore and Maryam is disowned or option 3 Maryam is forgiven and accepted back.

Murtasim being her shield and MB blaming her it is as Meerab predicted, what she didn’t foresee was Anus turning out to be MZ.

She made this vow at their wedding that she will place him above herself, which he said was her punishment but a cruel twist of fate it has become his torment.

Just read this analysis!! You have beautifully potrayed meerub's emotions here.

@bold- she became the scapegoat while trying to protect them both. But her sacrifice will not be understood by them, instead she will have to carry this burden forever.

However, murtasim knows that she is innocent & she got played by MZ but right now he is too broken to save her.
