Episode 37

If there was any scene that convinced me of Meerab’s gullibility, then this meet and greet with Anus’s fake mother did. The potential MIL comes in for possible marriage talks without the prospective groom, refuses to disclose her family name because she has none, she behaves like an uneducated uncultured brute, she insults the whole Khan family, she calls the prospective bride characterless, and Meerab still thinks it is suitable for Maryam to marry into Anus’s family. Murtasim was very calm all things considered, anas anus zubi or whoever this guy is finished, Murtasim was never going to allow his sister to be married off into such a vulgar family.

Murtasim’s love has spoiled Meerab into dangerously imagining that a husband’s love is all a wife needs in a marriage and every husband loves his wife like Murtasim loves her. Meerab is not answerable to her MIL, only Murtasim has rights over and even he can’t stop her. MB has an acid tongue while the taunts hurt Meerab, she has a steely personality that can handle this and is more than qualified to retort back, but most importantly her husband has her back. Even if Anus is a good guy that loves Maryam there is no guarantee he will do the same for her or his support will be enough to keep Yam happy for life. Anus’s mom is abusive does Maryam have the countenance to live with an MIL like that, no she does not, nor she does the have strength of character to fight this kind of assault for life. If Meerab understood Maryam at all she would reject this alliance.

She believes Anus’s love will compensate Maryam for any other deficiencies in life as if being a wife is the only role a woman plays in her marriage. Meerab is so protected in Murtasim’s world that she thinks that every wife is as lucky as she is to just remain as wife only and conveniently ignore other relations, roles and responsibilities which annoys them. Not every man is Murtasim, and not every husband treasures his wife like Murtasim does. Meerab what you get from Murtasim is exclusive to you only, he cannot be compared to other men. You are both incomparable.

Husband and wife are the same, first thing they do when getting up in the morning is find the other. Meerab’s ‘Where were you’ is her take on Murtasim’s ‘Kahan Ho’ on her birthday, non-compliance to this question will be met with fury. This scene compares both their levels of possessives over the other. From his side it is mostly protectiveness over her and from her side it is domination over him. The bossier she gets the more he loves to tease her. His finger over her lips, this is as close to a lip lock you will get in a Pakistani drama. You can’t analyze this scene it is meant to be seen and enjoyed. His smirk at the end reminiscent of the Kitchen Joshanda scene, flirt prince strikes again.

What makes Meerab a unique heroine is that in any other drama when the husband flirts with the wife, she would get all flustered, distracted and forget her purpose, not Meerab. Her mind is focused on the problem he didn’t answer her question, chase his ass down. Despite the external drama in their lives, they don’t stop being friends and lovers. He is King of SarcaSim (Murtasim’s signature sarcastic remarks), and only Meerab brings out his playful side. He can shed the baggage of gaddi janasheen, shed the image of the stoic ideal son, just become Meerab’s Murtasim. Meerab is so innocent sometimes, when the threat of MB fails, she pulls out the big gun. She knows his weaknesses are her tears, don’t talk to him and the biggest weapon of all ‘I will leave you if you don’t tell me where you were’. He is too sleepy to take this seriously. He hits the snooze only to wake up to what, wait, where is she.

Thank you for tagging 🤗.....just loved the analysis ❤...

Bold text - exactly....100 percent agree👍...why would anyone give her daughter/sister s hand in a family where she is not welcomed but abused andher character is assassinated by the would be MIL.

Underlined text - yes Murtasim s love has spoiled meerab and no one can would have treated her like that but that s the beauty that s why we love meerasim ...meerab should respect this and take this as a blessing and yes Murtasim always behaves his real self when meerab is around without caring about his position and power.

Bold + underlined text - i already consider it a liplock....❤....he shushh her by sealing her lips by putting his lips ooooooops finger😉.....and murthu s intense look looking at her lips 😍😍....a brave and bold move in Pakistani drama....definitely this scene is meant to enjoy.

yes, what they need now is the space and if not given then the cycle will go on. I don’t think so his family is that bad they have always reacted according to the situation, MB said this to Meerub only that she chose her for Murtasim because she trusts her capabilities to handle all the responsibilities, she likes her fiery nature so why would she hate her?? She was acting like a mother only, accept it or not we always says that a mother’s love is unconditional, but this selflessness is only limited to her children, and she can’t look beyond her children, for her kids she can fight the world but her vision is narrow and limited, today I heard Aarohi’s dialogue in yrkkh that she is doing everything for her daughter so she is right because a mother can never be wrong and then I realised how we have glorified all this so much that we can’t look past her, we only realised that a mother is selfish when she becomes a mother in law but other than that we oversee her every fault, her every decision and the same has happened with MB we are seeing her from the lens of Meerub’s MiL but when we see her as Mariam’s mother, she is not wrong. She even blamed Haya but haya had her weakness and that was once MB made a choice to trust Meerub over Haya and that backfired on her and that is the difference between Haya and Meerub, their intentions haya can do anything to fulfil her motives but Meerub won’t use anyone’s weakness against them especially when they are so vulnerable.

And about Mariam, she was mesmerised by the thrill she got by meeting and loving Zubair, love has always been forbidden for her but Zubair gave her the opportunity to feel it and in form of Meerub she got the support that what she is doing is right that’s why she didn’t thought about anyone and behaved like a selfish person because this was the only time she got the chance to be selfish so her actions and behaviour were natural just like MB.

And Meerub, even though she was wrong in judging Zubair it was not her fault, she never got the chance to experience the world, so how would she know that people can even deceive you that’s the extent of the pampering she got, her bubble of protection got burst when she was forced and that’s the only thing she thought was bad, so when she saw Mariam is being forced against her wishes, she got the chance she never had during her marriage, During her marriage she was no one but this time she hold the power over everyone, even though khan family always claimed that only Murtasim has the power to take the last decision she knew she had the power over Murtasim, Murtasim’s decision would never be devoid of her presence, In trying to find something which was never there she lost what she always had, she lost the support and trust of the only person who was always there with her. But she also got what she always claimed that she wants and that is freedom and may be this freedom would forced to her realise that freedom does not lie in having no one, it comes with the sense that you can have everything you want and need for yourself.

And for Murtasim, it is the chance he needed but never realised or wanted it, he was tired of being alone and the moment he got Meerub as his wife, he assumed that she will share his every burden, his every emotions, even though he always gave her the time to realise what she wants but he still had that thought in mind that he will never be alone, he got so much emotionally dependent on her that he failed to see that he exists as a person who has responsibilities and a family, because the moment he got to know that Meerub helped Mariam he was ready to risk his dad’s property and the promise he gave to his people to always protect them which he clearly refused in case of her sister. And even after this someone says that he has soft spot for Haya then no matter what he do, he can never be right in their eyes, the guy who refused to have his sister back for his people and responsibilities but agreed for the same when her wife entered the equation can never give anyone the right to hurt his wife but that’s the problem he needs to understand that their is life without Meerub, and if she doesn’t want he can’t have her in his life, he always believed in his love that Meerub wants him but this time he needs to trust Meerub’s love and when he will have faith in her love that would be the moment people like Haya and Zubair would stop existing in their marriage.

And Haya’s side is not worth explaining because what she did was not natural, it was planned to get something and in this she forgot that Murtasim is not a thing to possess. In my mind Musk has used her in his experiment in which he is sending people on Mars so she is in Marssmiley36

You make a very valid point here.. this completely makes sense… for her Anas should be enough for maryam and the fact that they are deeply in love with each other..

This reality check was very much needed for her to see that not all men are like murtasim. He is a gem, one of a kind ❤️

What makes Meerab a unique heroine is that in any other drama when the husband flirts with the wife, she would get all flustered, distracted and forget her purpose, not Meerab. Her mind is focused on the problem he didn’t answer her question, chase his ass down.

And this is WHY I LOVE HER SOOOO MUCH ❤️

Lovely analysis as always. You always make my day ❤️❤️❤️

Episode 41

From Meerab's POV potential outcomes of Maryam’s elopement were option 1 family forcefully get Maryam divorced and remarried to Naureez which is a crime, even if MB wanted to do this Murtasim won’t and Meerab won’t let him or option 2 whole Khandhan finds out badnaami galore and Maryam is disowned or option 3 Maryam is forgiven and accepted back. Meerab feared option 2 will happen, so she chose option 3 because with her involvement she becomes the scapegoat so Maryam can escape blame. Maryam will be forgiven by the family because Meerab is the real enemy. She chose the lesser of three evils. Meerab by becoming Maryam’s shield fell on the sword for everyone sake. Her dangerous calculation would have paid off if Maryam’s love was real. Once Maryam decided to to run away Meerab had no real choice.

Meerab predicted right the consequences of helping Maryam, she does not know Anus but she knows Murtasim and MB. MB conveniently blamed Meerab for everything and declared her daughter innocent. MB tried to trick Murtasim into giving a promise of kicking Meerab out of the house, but he doesn’t take the bait. He will never make such a promise because he pledged his wife that he is her home. Meerab sacrificed herself and risked everything because she believes his oath. Meerab thought she was saving Murtasim from a bigger tragedy of disowning his sister for dishonouring the family. But if Meerab is involved Murtasim will find a way to shield her, and by doing so he won’t lose a sister nor will he lose a wife.

MZ places his conditions for release of Maryam which Murtasim immediately rejects. MZ says he will kill his sister, but Murtasim is wasting time with phone tracking and doesn’t relent. When Meerab was in danger during the kidnapping track, he didn’t stop for phone calls, nor was he negotiating with the enemy, nor did he think about consequences when firing his gun, he walked into the pits of fire to get Meerab back.

As soon as it is revealed Meerab was involved in Maryam’s elopement Murtasim doesn’t waste a second before conceding defeat to MZ because his priority now is protecting his beloved wife, if this fight drags out any longer regardless of what happens to JudasYam it will be Meerab’s honour and standing in the family that will be irrevocably destroyed. He loves his sister she is his responsibility, but Meerab is his will to live and only for her sake will he sacrifice it all. Murtasim being her shield and MB blaming her it is as Meerab predicted, what she didn’t foresee was Anus turning out to be MZ.

His nightmare coming true with the family attacking his love. This is the terrifying scenario he was desperate to avoid ever since Meerab stuck her nose in Maryam’s business, he is gasping for air looking like he wants to throw up. Murtasim’s fury rising with ‘mujhe humari mohabbath ki kasam’ please tell me you are not this stupid. Meerab can hardly meet his eyes, she steps forward and confesses, and her gaze drops down in shame. Murtasim is traumatized his breath catches in his throat, as he bows down defeated Meerab looks up at him. She wants to say something, but nothing escapes her lips but a whisper of his name.

He confessed his chahath to persuade her to take care of herself first so that she can take care of him, but she will care for him first. She made this vow at their wedding that she will place him above herself, which he said was her punishment but a cruel twist of fate it has become his torment. Tragically now no matter how much he begs her to put herself ahead of him she won’t, because Meerab is a slave to her promises ‘Mein Meerab hoon apne Vaade ke pakki’. She made a promise to Maryam and her husband, by sacrificing herself she fulfilled both her vows.

. I am still reeling from the fact that , to Murtasim - Meerab is more important than Mariyam 😭 . It is not digestible to me.

That's why the question , always comes back to me - Why , how and when did he fall in this much love ! It's unreal !

Doc That is why this is an epic love story.

We start the journey of TB in the middle, we never saw either of them falling in love because they are already in love when the story starts. He just realized it first, which we get to see.

Love is not a logical emotion. It is like asking why did Jack not share the plank with Rose at the end, or why did Romeo and Juliet kill themselves at the end, or how did abhithu even fall in love with stalker Sethu.

No family member can compete with the love of your life, this is true in real life as well. A rare gift bestowed on the very few who are lucky enough to experience such love.
