DC got the perfect start with a wicket maiden from Khaleel, and then Nortje dismissed the other opener Shubman Gill. Vijay Shankar was deceived by a top quality Ishant Sharma knuckle ball, and then David Miller was out playing an uncharecteristic shot to be dismissed for zero. GT found a way back through skipper Hardik and Abhinav Manohar, and they batted out the tough stages, but ate up too many bowls. Axar and Kuldeep kept things quiet as the asking rate kept rising, but both GT batters couldn't connect despite their best efforts.
