Atal govt was encouraging of BW a lot and Lagaan and Devdas were sent as Oscar entries from India during his tenure. Otherwise it was rare for commercial BW films to be sent as Oscar entries earlier.

What a beautiful song and beautifully sung by Jagjit Singh. SRK at his best - looking very handsome and justifying the song with his emotions. Definitely srk is one of the best top actors of Bollywood.

Atal govt gave National award and Padma award to Aamir and Lagaan team without any bias on ideology or communalism.

I was surprised they gave Padma Sri to Aamir despite Aamir openly criticising Modi for Gujarat riots. BJP did not take it as an attack on itself or its rule then.

I can never imagine someone critiquing even a state govt of BJP now and still getting award from Central govt.

BJP under Modi is far more vindictive and vicious. Entirely punitive of anyone who criticises them and does not kiss their ass.

I cannot fathom any Khan getting award now. Atal govt gave Bharat Ratna to Ustad Bismillah Khan saab. I can never imagine anyone from non Hindu background getting Bharat Ratna from Modi govt for sure. His fanbois would stop voting for him if his govt gave Bharat Ratna to Muslim.

I am amused Modi govt gave nothing to even Salim Khan and Salman Khan who vouched for him as PM candidate in 2013.

Atal (too late) openly regretted to not having bumped Modi because of his involvement in/handling of the atrocities in Gujarat 2002.

Obviously, Atal had a strong sense for establishing peace for a still autonomous India (but somehow the extremists in the BJP and RSS 'laughed at' the poet's soul).

See this is a very common thing on this forum....people blame some to be an MID of another person...sometimes because of hate but sometimes due to genuine confusion...

Usually a regular member might make an MID to abuse some actor or a member so that their original ID remains unscathed...

Even if I was to make an MID....why would I make an MID like Clochette who never abuses any actor or member or even speaks one bad word....doesn't make sense right?😆

You mostly talk about SRK or defend him...so do I ...why would I need another ID to that??

Maybe people do this to rile you up.....but if I let some stranger to rile me up about an ID on a stupid forum...I am giving them too much power to them...so I just ignore it or humor it if I know that the other person is just teasing me..you do the same...
