On the contrary, knowing Merub, her ghareebi will be all about mein itni khuddaar hoon...mera ego itna buland hai..that I will not ask for help from Wakas and Anila. Or woh yahi victim card play karti rahegi to feel superior about her life choices,,,This is still her ego winning.

That's why I don't like the idea of her leaving voluntarily. It seems too cowardly like running away so her ego is not hurt by the shame and recriminations. I would much rather she subsumes her ego owns her ghalti, takes the heat, and does her sazaa in front of everyone. Merub needs to be held accountable. She had such a hard time saying I'm sorry.

Mariyam NEEDS to learn to trust her brother. She grew up in that household, she is well aware of the traditions but still Murtasim went against all odds to give it a shot. Why won't she trust her brother over a guy she met recently.
