However, i think a lot of this is coming from the fact that Aarav was never with children as he grew up. He was always surrounded by adults and went through a lot at such a young age- hence the 'maturity'.

Yes it is kinda inappropriate on Viaan's part to be discussing all this with a child but he has bonded with Aarav to the point where he does agree (and is fascinated) by a lot of Aarav's views, which again aren't his own because he always says that's what his mumma tells him.

And also for Aarav, he gets a sense of security and protection from Viaan which he seeks a lot. So although he gives all these advices and stuff but i see this as a form of clinging behaviour to feel safe and seek comfort!

So for sure i would go 😳 if i saw an adult and child talking like this in such detail about the adult's love life. But i do get where both are coming from.

Also for the new girl Vanya- just saw the starting bits of her interview. As much as i appreciate confidence in individuals, would i like this attitude all the time in my office- nope😂

And in the field i work in, that attitude is only gonna suit a certain speciality not all working professionals😂

But yeah still have to see the rest of the epi!

way too much attitude. she is a micromanager wannabe -- a real terror to work with. if they play this right, then she will create lots of problems because she is not a team player and neither does she belive in teams.

just like teji used viaan as a sounding board for all her problems and forcing viaan to be the adult in the relationship, viaan is also doing something similar to aarav though he is not aware of it. because they had a ridiculous reconciliation in one episode -- 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦 -- viaan and teji's real conflict was never dealt with any sensitivity or realism.

if they had treated it with one percent reality, then viaan would have shown his resentment and anger and held on to it. we would have had great scenes like between papaG and yuvi that we discussed at length in adult child-parent conflict threads.

instead, we had saintly viaan. 🙄🙄🙄 but fallback of viaan being so saintly -- aarav who is a child is stressing out over an adult problem. there is nothing remotely cute about it. children who stress out over adult problems lose a part of their childhood and then have issues later.

here, we can see how one tends to repeat the problems we learned at home. viaan is doing the same that teji did to him. because viaan did not address it really and brushed it under the carpet, he is repeating teji in a way.

Yeah exactly!

For any child, having a safe space is extremely essential. With Viaan, it was never there and like Mango said here- Teji dumped all her problems on that 10/11y old child instead. So thats resulted in him becoming very dependent and fixated on what he feels could be his safe space.

About Viaan and Teji- absolutely- he could have smiled at her and said it was fine, then but later when he was alone he could have had a monologue about how he had actually suffered and her apology means a lot to him! It would have been forgiving from his side. His approach to Aarav also reflects on how he grew up so he sees nothing wrong in discussing his issues.

And thankfully for the first time Katha pointed it out to Aarav that these are grown up matters.

The other thing I was thinking was probably Dodo could have caught on this as well.

At this point, from Katha's POV, she's letting her son explore and doesnt want to be a helicopter mum, and honestly a lot is going on in her life too 😂 😂 but Aarav spoke about this to Dodo as well so maybe she could have discussed with Katha ki Aarav is getting emotionally involved in issues that he has no control over and isnt appropriate for his age?

Eitherways its just television! Toh thoda we can take with a pinch of salt!

I remember mentioning previously that a lot of us are talking about this because we have seen the makers give us more realistic and quality content before so its not that they cant do it!

My favourite part is that because of all this atleast the DT is running 😂

God so true!!

Her interview was a pain to watch.

And I'm expecting some scenes where she clashes with Katha and Viaan supports Vanya instead of her 😂

Also, after Viaan said yes, Katha went "Weren't we supposed to take the decision together?"

I mean, I get that Viaan is very friendly with his staff and all but afterall he is the CEO 😂

If the CEO felt that the candidate was good, then what can the others say (just in the context of hierarchy!)

And it made me wonder whether Katha would do the same if the CEO was someone else.

The fact that she could say this was because she feels she has the right to do so (which actually shouldnt be the case if its just an employee and the CEO in the picture)? Did anyone else feel the same?

kekeke.... yes, teh DT seems to run only when we are debating over something. otherwise, the drama doesn't elicit much reaction at all.

this is me mostly while watching. 😆

I agreed with katha though -- they should have discussed it behind the doors without him impulsively saying she is hired. but then again, vanya will cause problems and all katha has to do is turn around and fight with viaan and say "your choice!" 😆

The writers might want to justify this, but Viaan is not from a “small town”, who is clueless about boundaries. At least the earlier Viaan didn’t come across in that manner! I would love to hear his monologue which explains his behavior…

If he was discussing all this with an online friend, it would have made more sense. But it seems like he only goes to the club to download on Aarav and ask for tips on how to woo his friend etc. As Rati and you pointed out, Viaan might have been at the receiving end of this himself as a child. However, as we grow, there are certain things we figure out and will not carry it forward. Especially given how widely traveled and successful Viaan is. As a mother, I share with my child certain things, and there are plenty of other children trooping in and out of my house. That does not in any way mean I download my joys and sorrows on them. It is as simple as that.

Let me not even get started on Katha’s lack of interest in his friends or Dodo not seeing these 2 together. Who drops and picks Aarav from the club?

The writers have messed up Viaan’s character all round- with Katha as well. Coming out of a harassment case, he is literally stalking Katha. They have messed him up as a CEO as well. The interview was such a sham with him sitting there. Not a question was asked, instead he sat there like he was amused and fascinated. At this rate, Pyramid will be #1 and I will be rooting for them on one condition- I want to see Aniruddh actually do some work. Or Eshan has to take over Earthcon….

Rant over.

agree with you kushi; the old viaan had more brains as well as boundaries. saint viaan is frankly strange and his characterization is all over the place. he forgives everyone but has no sense of limits.

it feels extremely strange that viaan would go to the club just to chat with aarav. doesn't he play squash with someone? why not talk with his gym buddies?

the initial batman robin convos were rather sweet and always child appropriate. along with saint viaan, these interactions have also taken a weird turn.

but because the writers are on saint viaan mode, we are also supposed to see his actions with a halo. smiley36

Absolutely agree with the last bit about Viaan being the CEO!!

It makes me wonder how EarthCon functioned before Katha came 😂

They are the top architecture company run by those two young men who completely by themselves have gotten it to this level- now they're just spectators 😂

Where is the businessman???? Where is the CEO???? Where is that aggression????

See personal life mein Viaan is flying and happy- agreed but it does not necessarily have to affect his work so much right??

Now I barely see him contributing 😂

Only contribution he had is hiring a girl with a weird attitude and who cant be a team player 😂

shimo -- my second post on fiction being fiction.

I used to be a voracious reader for many years where I would gobble up several books in a week. romance and crime were the two genres I enjoyed.

here is how I approach fiction in drama -- yes, there is creative license and certain amount of reality you have to ignore. however, when you create a fictional world, there are certain literature rules that do apply in order for you to create a good work.

I recently watched the movie "dungeons and dragons" and we went because of my niece. I liked the movie for what it was and thought it was well-written. 😆 the conflict was believable (a father trying to connect with his daughter, a husband dealing with loss) and it continued through to the end of the movie. the resolution made sense and you walked away with the feel that it was money and time well spent. so even in a fantasy movie, there is a certain amount of internal logic and reason a work should follow. then only it is enjoyable. so when I crib that it isn't logical, I mean within the sense of the world they have created.

years ago, I remember the Mills & Boon website (later bought out by Harlequin) have a set of rules for wannabe romance authors. it was really interesting to see them place so much importance on conflict building and conflict resolution -- essential to having a good romance book and character development.

so I have mentioned this before that the initial 30-50 episodes of the drama were really well-written. then it veered off sharply. we are not having conflicts resolved in a believable manner. instead, they are resolved within one episode which does not make sense in any world. there are no highs and lows when it comes to such resolution. you feel nothing. also abrupt changes in character development means you lose the connect with the characters and interest in drama.

then when it comes to certain aspects -- like children and law -- I do think that any pieces of fiction should have sense of responsibility and deal with such issues sensitively. also you shouldn't feel like the ML and FL are irresponsibile people. 😆

while I laugh about EK shows, there are many which were well-written. yes, the plots were utterly dumb but it made sense within the world they created. none of the characters grow any brains and theirs fights and struggles feel believable in the world they created. 🤣

so basically when you hear many of us cribbing, we are essentially looking for consistency in writing.

Thank you dear for detailed reply ❤️

I understand your POV and how much it's different from mine

Maybe because i never pay any attention to such depths you are talking about (like clothing and matching of it to their work it's intersting new aspect to me BTW 👏, my work field is medical may be for that 🤣😎)

But the more funny thing is that I liked katha styling in the show and the way they are dressing the employess is Similar to my society so i feel very comfortable with it (that's why i have different POV or clearly to say i didn't pay attention to their clothing because it's familiar to me)

And also i believe that you do market something to attract customers you don't reflect in your personal life ( I mean katha clothings for example)

For the second point yeah i got your points concerning you are all talking about consistency of writing (which i'm enjoying while you are not)

I want here to clear somthing:

Some issues were abrubtly solved like for example (meera yuvraj story) and i totally agree on that but i have some concept ( which may alot of you won't agree with) that my only focus in any show with impossible romance if we could describe this show with, is about the main couple and their story

That's why i could overlook any other lines which would never spoil my entertainment for their story ( i know many would say that side charcaters helping the story of the main lead and so on but i still don't concentrate on it)

(moreover in the arabic version of this story, they got more focus and attention to this line of meera yuvraj and alot of people including me dropped the show because they got long screen space compared to the leads 🤣🤣 that's why i'm happy here 🤣🤣)

Even ehsan redemption despite being done in short time, i found it believable or let me saying justifiable after shamita track where ehsan experienced the time when he was about to lose his best friend and how he perferred that than being with katha (where they obviously weren't near any relationship anyway)

I don' want to talk again about araav and viaan but i want to add small additional line (not a justification to anything) that araav now is behaving like a child. I mean he doesn't know about the love story or the depth of suitability between couple he only knows that robin is good person supporting him and good looking 😂 and he wants to help him to manage his problem like robin did to him earlier (mutual support i mean) even after katha talked about the single mother and her justifiable rejection as compared to their situation he remained at the same subject ( i mean kids remain cunning on the something they wanted regardless how many you could try to forbidden them from it)

About viaan, it's always about me being a big fan of the turkish and arabic versions where there was NO redemption of the male lead character at all

Moreover how they portrayed viaan character is the most intriguing part that got me attached and addicted to this show as compared to other versions

That's why after this well written redmeption and how much guilty he was feeling after the relevation of the truth is what making me accept that change of his character and making it very believable to me and i could say if he wasn't changed in such way i couldn't be that attached to the show 🤣🙈

You know it's my first ITV show to watch and to be honest i would never thought that i would watch any itv show in my life

I watched the turkish version for uncountable times

And i was just watching the arabic version when one of my mutuals at twitter app recommended me the indian version and i was saying i won't watch it

It must have slow motions and illogical scenes and i couldn't feel the same with the turkish and arabic versions amd how they could handle such sensitive subject having so much angst and feelings!!

Then someday my twitter recommend some posts about this show in my timeline and i was like attracted to the couple chemistry then immediately binge watching the whole episodes till the last aired one and searched for the forum 🤣

Then becoming the fan of your thread along with the hashtag on twitter on each aired episode till now

My love to KaViaan couple i couldn't describe that even i have stopped all my current watching shows for only them as they consumed much time of my day either watching or thinking about them.

Eventually me being a fan of this story long time ago and finding something different in this version making me big fan who can do nothing other than enjoying them and attaching to them much more with passing time

BTW i agree with you about the team work subject at the interview of vanya, it's critical subject in interviews and i never expect the answer of vanya at this point and how viaan could accept her after this

I could say her excitement to have the job along with her being favourite candidate of katha 🤣🤣

But i hope for some problems to be happening based on that and giving some drama to the office scenes (in good way to develop story of katha and viaan my only interest 🤣🙈😎)

And as i said earlier the vanya subject would bring viaan trauma to surface again and give us the processing of traumatic people like viaan and katha together and how they would be brought together through that.
