Yes, definitely! His hurt, even though he claimed to have gotten over it, was far worse than hers because he had been way more invested in "them" than she had.

are hurt yet at the same time both want the other to be happy

I'm not sure but I hope if Maan is getting engaged

than he should fall in love with his would be wife

otherwise life is just empty

but today I feel for Geet as well

just hoping she slowly makes herself strong

There's no denying that she's suffering too! And yes, I agree with you. He needs to be attached to the life partner he is choosing and not someone else to avoid a miserable life!

I can't say he never overcame the hurt of rejection. He did claim to move on but sometimes, when the an event occurs, even healed wounds hurt inexplicably.

Geet is way too mature and responsible to want to break off the engagement and cause hurt to more people. It's just not her... On the other hand, her feelings have brought her to the brink of desperation and she won't be able to forgive herself for never trying. Hence, the current scenario. And you're right. Not knowing Geet's feelings would've made it easier for him to get engaged but now, it's going to be an uphill task for him!
