First of all thank u for giving the much awaited chapter on khushi and her circle of roses. It reminded me of some of the evergreen ffs in IF related to ipkknd. The setting and the narration of her childhood was heart warming, simple and enjoyable with the characters similar to the actual story. Her family allowed her for higher studies shows their wisdom and forward thinking. At the same time loved the straight forward talk of arnav to khushi and it shows his wise upbringing. But the omnipresent Devi mayya letting her down"everytime" made me teary. Her circle of thorns is nerve wrecking and her thought of being a hypocrite broke my heart. Now she even doubts arnav's earlier claim of love, her stature....feeling jealous of people around depicts her inner turmoil perfectly...The road to her revival seems to be cloudy at present....kudos to the writer for minute detailing such as stars that keeps intact the character essence or the 'khushiness'..OMG..what will be the families reaction ???...once again thank u

What happened to Shyam? Is he still in Lucknow? Khushi is going back there.

We got a little glimpse of Khushi's teenage life. And one can deduce that what an innocent and kind young girl she was.

I felt sad for her young self when she complained to her Devi Maiyya that she never got whatever she wanted. But still she had a heart full of hope that eventually she would get whatever her heart would desire. And her heart desired Arnav, a young man who didn't make extraordinary promises but simply said he would take care of her. But when she cried her heart out sitting in front of the idol in the penthouse, my heart shattered for her. She became so insecure, feeling Arnav might have never loved her, but was just taking care of her bcoz she was his responsibility.

I loved those lines where you wrote that the feeling finally sank in when she was alone in the apartment, physically distanced from Arnav. It felt so real.

“Oh not at all!” Khushi said, her voice echoing in the sanctum. “She teases me with things and takes them away.”

This line really made me weep for Khushi. Why did Devi Maiyya take away her love from her? There is a saying in Kannada which roughly translates to "The nivala (morsel of food) which came to the hand never reached the mouth"

Khushi's life has become like that now.

And my guess about the NGO was right. It takes courage to listen to people's problems and give them support, but when the situation arises in their own life, only then one can realise the gravity of the pain.

Did Khushi feel that she is a dehati and Arnav probably deserved someone like Lavanaya as his wife? Did Arnav's behaviour in anyway indicate that over years?

Very nice update writerji.

PS: Oh bhai, ab yeh Shyam koun hai and will he again appear in this story?

That's such an important point. I forgot to mention this in my comment. Did anyone make her feel like that. Arnav or someone else.

K ..don't be surprised like Lavanya others may have called her dehati and she may have overheard it. Folks talk.

Younger Arnav was elegant, does not look the type to call names, but not sure of the 30 year old. Sometimes silence is louder than words.

Lavanya is enough no...Shyam I hope is settled with kids and not a problem anymore 🙂

Wishful thinking S 😀

I am starting to believe more and more that maybe Khushi thought Arnav was better off with a "modern" type of girl.

Maybe some comment by Arnav that a particular type of filmy gathering was not for her could have triggered her insecurities too.

Is that why she did not fight for her marriage or ask for counseling?

It might be true. Her insecurities led her to believe that Arnav would be happy without her.

I think in the initial years of their marriage, Arnav was approachable and hence she could discuss her feelings with him and sorted out everything. But later he might have become aloof. So she couldn't communicate with him. Hence she didn't even go for counseling.

Continuing the discussion-

In the show we have seen the journey of ASR becoming khushi's Arnavji, but may be here the journey was from khushi's Arnavji to ASR. May be there was this sudden flow of money, success and everything which resulted to this, where he turned into ASR but khushi remained the same sweet simple khushi and probably so the difference. Arnav anyways come from a rich background, it was just the family going through a phase.

(Though absolutely nothing can convince me on the infidelity, I still cannot wrap my head around it.)

On another note- the other day while reading one of the updates, I was thinking probably, khushi and arnav would be a far cry in a real life scenario. Two people who are so starkly different from each cannot be a possibility in real life probably, and even if they do, then may be it will end just like how it did in this story.

P.s- I am an extremely ardent ARSHI fan just like you all, this is just an observation w.r.t real life. Would love to know what you all think.

True. In real life, people who are incompatible will not make it for long. You have to have something that binds you.
