My mentor taught me you should let the crystals choose you not the other way around. So, I think you made the right decision. It seems this beauty chose you. I think you’re strongly drawn to calcites because calcite is a lesser known choice for protection. Your UN is also Calcifer. What draws you to calcium versus other rocks and minerals? Most people stick to black or green onyx, tourmaline or torquoise for protection.

Honey calcite is a lovely crystal. I love the vibrant yellow. I find that it has a soothing effect. Same reason why I love citrine although I don’t own honey calcite yet. Honey calcite is great for inner work. It really helps build confidence and inner worth. It doesn’t directly ward off negativity but it gives you inner strength so none of the external negative energies affect you. I’ll look for it next time I stop at a shop and add it to my collection. Thanks!!

I do have a blue calcite which I sometimes put under my pillow before sleeping during stressful days and that really helps me get a restful sleep. For protection and warding off negative auras, I wear a black tourmaline ring. Onyx and tourmaline are both great for protection and warding off negativity. I did lose my onyx ring a few months ago. They also say if you lose a crystal, it was lost so someone in need could find it. I have also recently lost my moonstone and labradorite rings. Not sure what’s going on. But I’m trying not to dwell upon that too much. Hopefully, someone in need found them. Oh I digress.

Coming back to protection crystals….the others I love for this purpose are Smokey quartz and malachite. Malachite is quite strong though so I would start off with the more gentler crystals first. I only wear my malachite (in pendent form since it governs the heart chakra so great as a pendent versus rings or bracelets) around if I’m about to head into a potentially confrontational situation. Smokey quartz is great for everyday use. I keep one at my office desk.

Hi Supari, I’m doing well, you can take time with the reading that’s ok. Just tag me when you are ready. With Calcite I found it from one of my reading. I use this app called Faladdin which does the tarot and other readings which are kind of accurate and in one of reading it asked me to use that crystal so I bought it. I’m all new and learning about crystals as I go. Thank you for all wisdom it’s really helpful. I already fell a lot lighter and better I don’t know if it’s just in my brain playing tricks on me lol.
