True, today or ten years later, finding out your partner was unfaithful is always going to sting.

Akash,Payal all know Lavanya so I assume so does Khushi. Wonder if it is Lavanya who revealed to Khushi about her affair with Arnav. In case Arnav chickens out in filing for divorce. May explain why Khushi did not question him and agreed for a no contest divorce.

Also Arnav had noted Khushi wore a saree for their anniversary celebration. Does he find that Khushi does not fit with his flamboyant lifestyle.

Lavanya and her manager are against Arnav’s divorce. Not that they care about Khushi, they just don’t think timing is right. If the news about Arnav and Lavanya leaks, Arnav’s divorce will only confirm it and might severely impact Lavanya’s career.

That she would rant and rave? Did he ever know her, in a way that she may have understood him? It looks like she always understood his need to work, to be away from home even if that came at the expense of their own relationship. It was good to see that he realized that his expectation of possible reactions was a way of assuaging his own guilt.

I feel for her and I also understand her need to break all threads including giving up the NGO that she had looked after like her own child, in his words. A clean break, to heal, to look forward, to pick up the threads of her life which was probably always at mercy of his schedule so to speak.

Moving on from a relationship as long as these two shared is always going to be ugly. Khushi is a strong character, I assure you of that, but nobody can normally go back to their usual lifestyle after such a drastic change. As you said, a clean break is not only recommended but needed. Even Arnav, who seemed to think he had it all planned is dealing with the cold feat, guilt and nervousness now that Khushi is really gone!

He is truly behaving like an insensitive jerk, but you also noticed he struggled as a child and that may have been tough. This shift in opinion may happen often dwindling between past and present but it’s because he will change as a person throughout this tale. Glad to see I’m able to convey that via these chapters.

Glad to read that I am right in reading the character traits but more so my knee jerk strong reaction to the character was taken in stride.🙂

Your characterization is spot on. Both Arnav and Khushi.

I had been so caught up with his behavior that I failed to comment on other details of these chapters. Be the details of the start up you had written in length or Akash book or how Khushi managed to transform their first home. Smell that emanated in that house because of the surroundings!

The details adds a lot of character to the story. Hopefully in future I will not ignore it 🙂

Is it fair to say that this story is mainly about Arnav's metaphorsis or his journey then?

The guy is a control freak P. The way he confronted Khushi who told her about the impending divorce. There was anger not shame and guilt that it was not him but gossip that led to the discovery. Something that affects the couple only and she found out from gossip mongers.

Thinking she is "juvenile" that she has locked up in her room rather than talking with him about the divorce. A divorce he wants and did not have basic human decency to inform her.

Miley cyrus flowers song comes to mind for Khushi and Elon musk the jerk for this Arnav.

Canapoem tagging you..not sure how to quote both your post in my comment 🙂

Thank you. The details matter. Both to the story and to me. I do sometimes wonder if I am adding additional complexities and dampening the pace of the story but I chuck those thoughts out. I write the kind of things I like to go through as a reader. And yes, the tale is mainly Arnav’s. Not to say that other characters aren’t important, but because his POV is the primary source of narration in this story.

I asked you about this link in fan fiction but never mind I found it😃

How would I get a update notification here?

Now coming back to the chapter is heartbreakingluly beautiful. I felt so bad for Khushi. I still can't understand Arnav's reasons for cheating and divorce.

And I still can't reconcile this Arnav with ASR as that ASR was lot of things to hate about but we could count on him to be faithful so it's a hard part of this story for me even more than their separation

Khushi has been so dignified in everything and has been so strong on outside. She has realised there is no point is having any talk

Arnav has convinced himself that talking, explaining to Khushi his side and giving her huge sum wil assuage his guilt but he is so wrong. I think the stifling domesticity is what he is going to crave dearly now that has been gone

this is going to be a medium length FF. not too long but not short enough to be called an SS. I am trying to fix a routine if one chapter every week, at a pre decided time but honestly my office hours are hay wire right now. In a few weeks if I can, I would fix Sunday evening for new chapters. But ts too soon to commit to that.

Hey. Yeah I’m actually not sure if topic replies have a notification feature. I’d try to update the FF portion with this one too, but that genuinely slips my mind.
