A surprisingly nice 100th epi

My expectations have mostly cratered from the show these days so I was surprised that the 100th epi rose a bit above my expectations today😆

Firstly a NEW poem from Viaan? 😲 They are still CAPABLE of that? WOW we no longer have to hear the 1000th rinse and repeat of the jugnu waali poem? SHOCKING😆.....Jokes apart, I liked the poem for its simplicity and for finally giving Viaan some new words to express his feelings...the whole premise of portraying love as his friend that he's having a conversation with about Katha....nice thought.

"Pehle pyar aur tum, dono ajnabi the

Ab dekho, pyar toh yaar hai mera...mera sabse jigri dost

Tum hasti ho toh woh mere kandhe pe haath rakh ke kehta hai

Dekh le jee bhar ke....aur main nazrein jhukaa leta hoon

Phir woh chhedta hai ki dekhna - ab woh dekhegi teri ore

Aur phir bharosa deta hai ki aaj nahin toh kal..."

I also liked the scene right before this when Viaan is shown to resist/protest the idea that love fades away after the initial high of falling in love. LOL the amount of expectation he had from Jeetubhai to back him on this simply cuz Jeetubhai has a 25 year long successful marriage😆....He was a bit deflated when Jeetubhai accepted that the initial butterflies do fade away after a while but it is up to you to keep rekindling your relationship....Katha sneaking looks at Viaan throughout this conversation and looking impressed by him recognizing a Sahir Ludhianvi song😆.

Then came the part I thought would be total comedy from the promos😆.....Viaan's latest hand injury that he acquired in his rush to say bye to Katha as she was leaving😆. But beyond the initial comedy of the way Viaan fell and hurt himself😆, and beyond all the usual generous use of slow-motion in their scenes😆......there were some poignant and heartfelt touches. I admit I did laugh ki Katha ko formally DHAK DHAK ka ehsaas hone ke liye Viaan almost had to lose a hand🤣....but hey, to each their own😆. The Katha who until yesterday was vehemently denying that she feels anything for Viaan was totally undone today simply over seeing him injured😆. The way she was frozen in place with Dodo's words running through her mind - pyar ko jab hona hota hai ho hi jaata hai.....lol...yahaan tak toh predictable jaa raha tha.....but then came the surprising part - Katha STILL walking towards him despite all these thoughts crashing in her head, despite Viaan himself silently telling her it's ok and she doesn't need to come to him. For a moment, she turned away and it seemed she would yet again choose a cold facade to escape her emotions.....but she came back with the first aid box to bandage his wound😆. At this point, no one can blame Viaan for feeling floored by this very gesture....she explicitly denied to him that she would ever save him from some injury, her eyes were literally screaming emotion at him when he saw her watching him in his injured state and still she came over to help him.😆.....it's not really the fact that she helped him - she would have done that for anyone....it's the STRUGGLE it took for her to come over that said so much more than she probably intended it to😆

I don't really like the new song they are using in KV scenes - this "achha lagta hai" song.....doesn't have even 1% of the feel of Khaare Raste or Koi Jaane Na....the team raised the bar with their previous song choices and this isn't cutting it right now - especially in the supposedly crucial "falling in love" phase😆

Katha seems to be losing the battle with her emotions too given the amount now SHE is turning to look at Viaan😆.....Car mein bhi the way she turned to look at him and he even caught her looking😆

Then the Viaan conversation with Ehsan in the end....lol Viaan was so excited to pour out his thoughts on Katha that he couldn't even wait for Ehsan to drop her home first...ok bhai....but anyways I liked how Viaan talked about the way such gestures from her just increase his respect for her and he can't help but fall for her....it gave a window into how Viaan's love for her stems from a really deep respect and admiration for her ability to put humanity above her own personal comfort or POV....he was so floored not because this means she has feelings for him but because of the humanity and compassion he sees in her.

It felt like the 100th epi was a watershed epi in some ways....they chose this epi as the DHAK DHAK transition epi to start showing Katha being aware of feelings for Viaan😆....and the precap seems to indicate that's what's coming up next....Katha's struggle with this new awareness and probably new attempts from Katha to tamp this down/deny it😆....now she's gonna help Teji aunty matchmake for Viaan also....waah😆

This episode had some good moments i will admit to that. Barring my issues with lovestruck Viaan I liked the scene where he stops her from coming and she is still coming. That was nice gesture from him. I especially liked the way they completetly cut the sound when Katha reacted on Viaan's accident (if u can call that 😛). That moment kudos to Aditi for displaying such range of emotions , the fear , the pain and recalling of Dodo's words.. the hesitation yet concerned and care. Katha had too much to offer today. Like you said I liked Katha looking back at Viaan who is looking at card smilingly and he catching her look.

And this bit when Katha shows up with the first aid box and Viaan is in total awe😆

I think I've become more used to lovestruck Viaan now....it was feeling more disjointed when he had just confessed and was busy grinning without any reason all the time😆. Now he's sort of settled into his current situation and the dialogues have also been established around this being the "patience" wala phase. He's going to remain this way until he is able to talk out his feelings with Katha....cuz otherwise the only person he has to talk to right now is flippant Ehsan whose take on love and relationships is shallow at best as was evident in today's scene also.

The show mainly suffers from a problem of drag and repetitiveness, otherwise they still show some nice moments from time to time. Today was one of those epis that had more nice moments than the past many epis as well as a new poem so I figured that deserves appreciation😆

This bit when he catches her staring at him in the car and Katha is trying to play it cool like she wasn't staring😆

Katha waise sach mein aaj kaafi shaken thi😆.....what else explain her helplessly staring at him so many times and also not being able to stop herself from telling him to take a painkiller 😆

LOL@ Viaan ka reply ki painkiller lene se saara pain chala jaayega kya?😆....and Katha just giving him a look at turning away😆

I'm also wondering about all this hype over the new architects being hired....looks like some new characters will be added to the story on the office front and that will bring some drama.

There were definitely some poignancy in some of the scenes likewise you guys mentioned about such as when Viaan signaling to Katha over not panicking much over his injury whilst he thought of Katha's words over the "situation" she described it as in the prior office scenes lol 😂 & when Viaan caught Katha looking at his injurious hand in the car.

I also felt disconnected with the "ache lagta h" song. Khaare Raste and koi Jane na wala hi play kardete toh I felt thodi consistency rehti hai. Otherwise, its just typical jukebox thing lol. 😂 🤣

I must admit one thing though and kinda had a chuckling thought over it: it kinda felt hysterical though k itne share log perturbed teh over Viaan's injury but sirf Katha ko hi laana tah the first-aid box. I know that they wanted to depict the point made in earlier office scene when Viaan questioned Katha about if she'd ever come running over his injury and she declined it in frustration at that time lol. But Ehsan kya kara tah lol? Naam ka hi dost nikla sachi mein lol upar se aisa lgra tah ki bohot zyada apne aap ko ghuserne ki koshish kara ta like zabardasti apne aap ko thopra tha lol.

Wrt the poem, frankly speaking, I was initially expecting a continuation of "woh mujse baat karti h" 😆 but nope, got a different poem. How love became "friend" to Viaan and also supporter in love. 👍🏼

The ending scene was really nice wrt Viaan's reactions as to how his respect for Katha continues to deepen into love and admiration. Maybe, it would've been interesting to have this conversation with Aarav kyunki Ehsan toh observant tha hi like with a Robin confiding into Batman about his experience so far toh shayad thoda interesting hota kyunki, Ehsan ka ghusna thoda zabardasti ka lagra tah. Just an unpopular opinion maybe.

Yes, definitely an unpopular opinion since the makers and most viewers seem to be loving this 24/7 babbling Ehsan piling on to Viaan or Katha alternatively 😆. There's very few of us who find him annoying or forced into the scenes right now....lol but he's on good terms with the makers and team so he will likely keep getting inserted everywhere. His original characterization was of a court jester who asked pertinent questions to Viaan and Katha without being aware of the secret between them. They've sort of returned him to that zone - he just babbles random stuff to make people laugh and tries to be a sounding board to Viaan now that he knows Viaan's feelings. But it's not landing properly because he doesn't have the depth as a character to understand the history between KV.....if the ONS topic ever resurges in the story, Ehsan's reaction to that will be a good test of his character. Anyways, there is no point saying much about him right now cuz he will remain omnipresent thanks to the lazy writing on that front....lol

Re: first aid box....lol yes you make a good point there. Everyone was just busy hyperventilating and waiting for the doctor. Katha is shown as the all powerful heroine of Earth Con so she had to be the one to think of the first aid box na😆.....they were all looking at her like a Goddess showed up with amrit in her hands😆

Let's see if they continue this theme of Katha's actions contradicting her words in the coming days.

It was a nice 100th episode:) As you said as per the adjusted expectations from post Shamita era episodes this one was one of the few good episodes we get. 😆

Liked Jeetubhai ka interpretation of “ Chalo ek baar phir se ajnabi ban jaaye…” ! Lol how much Viaan would like to start over afresh with Katha to wipe off the ONS. Today Katha really seemed to be constantly drawn towards Viaan the way she kept looking at him. Lol her eyes and ears were just following him everywhere. 😆

I wish yeh bandage wala scene itna stretch na kiya hota, would have been so much more effective. Liked how Viaan asked her to stop. Katha finally took a very hesitant step forward, you can see the conflict between her heart and mind, finally the heart won. What was with the actual sound of heart beat to show ki dhadkane badh jaati hai. 😆 I so miss that writing and understated way of conveying everything:( They still have that every now and then but is so inconsistent:(

The look Viaan had on his face when Katha comes with the first aid box says it all. So much was indirectly conveyed in that moment.

WORD to the bolded part. His love for her really comes from deep respect and it just keeps growing for the same reason, Katha keeps trying to dissuade him with words but her actions always have the opposite effect on him and he falls even more for her. 😆

Lol at Precap, Katha is now feeling awkward around him with her feelings, tables have turned. 😆 Looks like its Papajees turn to turn completely white, his dialogue seems to indicate he is going to try and make Katha realize she needs someone in her life. 🤔😆 EHHsan ke bad ab inki baari hai. 😆
