There's more to a husband-wife relationship than just love/romance. Love alone wont keep a couple together. We can clearly see that they are working on things like- trust,communication,vulnerabilities,respect,honesty. They were struggling with all these initially now there's some progress, she is willing to talk and he is willing to listen u know..that's progress for me! Romance in their relationship is the culmination of this journey!

Agree agree. Human behavior. The actions like being irritated at him for just being present or just how she treated him in the morning so dismissive that's absolutely wrong. That's mistreatment and she should leave if it's that bad. But I feel she cares for him and loves him too I feel. She just can't or won't say it. That's wrong too. I'm understanding her but also finding her dumb. Murtasim at least is willing understand and listen. She doesn't extend the same courtesy to him.

Dost bano! But she treats him like an enemy. Also her fake flirting, fake kindness and hot and cold depending on her use of him at that moment is just not okay.

From my understanding, Meerab is ok with the closeness when she is aware like in dance sequence she knew what was happening. But in Episode 20 and in Episode 34, she suddenly saw him close to her and may be reacted immediately.

So meerub and Murtasim are two different individuals with diff approach to life.

Meerub pushing murtu away in today's episode is right for her but it may seem wrong to us.. It's the perspective of each person and how they perceive it.

Okay jokes aside, I'll share my honest opinions about characters from today's episode, although I watched it through live updates on twitter but I still know what happened.

Meerab was 💯 correct in taking the stand for Maryam. Her stance and point was absolutely correct, but Khan family's females are the epitome of stupidity so Maryam did exactly what a stupid girl will do.

Maa Begum's character was one of my favorite in the show after Murtasim but now she nowhere is likable in my eyes. The parents who emotionally blackmails are unacceptable and annoying to watch. It was also the reason as to why she wasn't my most favorite( I mentioned this in some older DT too) because this thing always bothered me that she blackmailed Murtasim in marriage as well. It's high time she changes her thinking for the sake of her daughter and don't ruin her life and emotions, just the way she did with her son.

Well I won't say anything about meerasim scene because I'll feel like punching Meerab. It feels as if Meerab thinks too high of herself and considers Murtasim as a disgusting piece of human being. Her reaction is grossing honestly.

Now coming to Murtasim's love elaboration, I don't agree with it at all but it can be explained through his upbringing and how he fell in love with Meerab only after she became his wife. The fact is that he didn't differentiate genders, it isn't about man and woman but just a human falling in love as he mentioned both genders. It's wrong but it's an actual representation of feudal family.

In Islam it is commanded for both man and woman to lower their gazes for the sake of protecting their heart from heartbreak but if you fall in love before marriage you must go towards Nikkah immediately, but in cultural families they ignore the possibility of falling in love before marriage in nurturing and only emphasizes upon love after marriage.

After pregnancy fiasco in his conversation with Maa Begum he said that she always taught him to protect relations and prevent them from crumbling, one of the reasons why he hasn't given up on Meerab till now. This and his love for Meerab shows that he is bound by the upbringing and morals taught. He couldn't think about going against them.

I'm nowhere justifying Murtasim's thinking but I'll say that it is understandable to see as to why he has this regressive thinking. This thinking was a part of his upbringing and the upbringing is deeply rooted in him, he can't change it unless someone points it out. I deeply hope through this track Meerab helps him in changing it and he changes it or else he can go to hell from my side.

I almost forgot this. At least he is not biased. ✌️

I really like post. I was very disappointed with Murtasim after watching the promo.

But your whole post makes sense to him. I think you are absolutely correct. He was raised this way.

As a civil engineer with more than 5 huge/mega structure project experiencs ...and who has been working with a top class well known reputed cement company as maintenance and quality control SE ! I can assure you even cement bonds can be diluted!!!! And can break too!!! 😉 cement bond mei bhi deflection ajati hein jeyada stress strength pressure se . ( take murtasim's efforts as those force)

Reason we use rcc underneath most of the time....Turkey faced that huge destruction due to cement block structured building. Easily breakable!!!

But there are people like meerab who maybe for some reason just can't. They love no one else but Unki marzi pehle nahi thi and they just can't deal with that aspect. I can't even blame them.
