I don't get Reet

I don't understand this character at all. I get (even if I don't agree) what her problem is with Katha. But if she doesn't want Katha encroaching into her space and family, why is she not encouraging Katha and Viaan's relationship??

Her riling up Viaan's mother against Katha is going to make Reet's life only miserable. It would have been more consistent with Reet's character to show that her thinking is that "The only way to put some distance between Katha and my family is to distract her with some new man". She is shooting herself in the foot by playing Viaan's mother against Katha.

The writers of this show are otherwise very smart about human emotions, but this inconsistency always annoys me.

Reet is Sony’s insecurity showing by including a typical trp vamp.

Just how we saw Ehsan changing in the last few weeks yayee … so happy to see a kind and caring friend again …. I missed this version of him …. I thought Reet would change now too ! Especially after Katha helped her with the pregnancy and getting to the hospital on time for the delivery ! Plus she has a son now too so everything is in her favor plus her nalayak hubby is on her side too ! I was so surprised with her continued childish behavior and negativity !

From what I understood... Reet is a jealous kind of person... She is insecure of Katha making a place in her family but still she can't support Katha in getting a better life than her. She is the type of person who wants everything for themselves even if they don't need it. I have seen such person in real life who are envious of other person's success and I feel Reet's characterisation is like that.

Reet is super weird. She doesn't want Katha in the family but she also doesn't want her to remarry with another rich guy. She is insecure but also jealous and envious. 😆

I like the good Ehsan for sure but yes it was super weird that all of a sudden he has moved on from Katha. When the Pyramid guy instigated Ehsan I thought he would go against Viaan but when he insulted him I thought he just didn't want to get instigated. Who would know that it's because he was over Katha. 😆

Viaan's mom who runs an NGO and is a feminist, she doesn't want a single mom as her son's life partner. That's so regressive.

Here Ehsaan is a man, Ofcouse a jolly well person wants to enjoy his life and he is a flamboyant has least value etc

On the above he knows his limitations and worthyness

So the ground level is without viaan he can’t take responsibility and run the show on his own though instigated by his mom so many times.

Now coming to Reet. Jealousy first and second comes herself. We usually meet such type of persons very commonly in our day to day life. (Ignore kar ignore kar)

These type of people wants attention in whatever they do, utmost importance, chamchagiri, bhajan on their names. So their main motive is to pinpoint each and every thing and show the minute one in an expansion version and they can easily manipulate words and spoil the brains of others. on the above very very adamant can’t realise their mistakes

So it takes a while to change Reet’s attitude

It initially stumped me too but I think I may have figured Reet out. She is extremely insecure. BUT. Add to that she wants Katha's Naam Jaap to stop. She knows Katha would most likely say no to Viaans proposal on her own but she wants to ruin Katha's image in front of her in-laws so that Katha falls in their eyes again. She is instigating Viaans mother because she knows that indirectly this will make Katha look bad infront of her inlaws.

Reet is in it for the long game. lol. She's using Teji to fire the shot. She does not simply want Katha out of her life by marrying another guy (rich or not). She wants to completely ruin Kathas name in front of the inlaws so they do not give her another chance and stop talking to her completely. Full stop.

Quite right! Your conclusion seems to be on point, even though its implication is so disturbing!! This must be surely what writers have in mind for this character.

Makes sense but ruining kathaa and maybe here viaan takes a stand for her . Don’t know at this point . Reets hubby should definitely leave her ! He should understand that even with her new beta she is still her conniving self unchanged n he should walk out on her !n viaans mom ! Where do I even begin with her ! Another selfish vamp in the making , getting worse each day ! I thought Ehsan mom Farah would turn negative !
