Tbh, nepotism will always exist specially fiends where they are high barriers to entry and a lot is riding on the success of a product or a company. The idea is that these nepo kids have seen the industry from a lens others haven’t and they know how things work. Then they learn the craft and come to take the business and family name forward. In the 90s many nepo kids failed and few succeeded ( Sunny, Sanjay).

Having talent (dhanush, AB Je, Ranbir) abd being a nepo kid is a non issue, imho. But now , kids like Sonam, Shanaya, Jhanvi, they are so out of touch, they are clueless and look at it as a means to make money, not to deliver a good product. Specially navya, who is making a podcast using her family name, and it’s nothing special… it’s something any influencer with a 1M fan base could slap together. That irks.

But when families in the business try to make Ananya, Jhaanvi, Khushi & Shanaya, happen…. Now THAT, is just Gdamn annoying.

This!

Also, when star kids use their clout to get others kicked out of good projects that they would like for themselves. I personally find that wrong, I am sure there are some who believe unfair means are cool, but not me.

@Abhishek: Fine he is not a bad actor but he got way too many chances just coz of who he is. There are many 10 times more talented than him who got kicked out after their first project tanked.

That said until a few years ago I used to think he was the most sane person in that family (probably still is, and that says a lot😆) and very decent. I actually really liked him offscreen. This was before he started acting out.

There’s too many examples of people who struggle then gain a modicum of power and start doing favors for friends. What makes Them better than the people who made them struggle when they were starting out ?

Krithi Sanon and Ayushman Khurrana brought their siblings along but are always quick to call out the family stuff

So it doesn’t matter if it’s 1st or 2nd or 3rd generation. The corrupt practices exist in everyone

But .... and this but will always exist cuz I've never been on board with this ideology of yours.

One can argue that you have to capitalize the hand you're dealt, right? If you are super privileged and other less advantaged talents feel suppressed or compromised, wouldn't you agree that it's their right to milk their "disadvantaged" status and make the most of it, even if it's by trying to appeal to the bleeding hearts out there? You play the game or get played by the game. don't you think? I mean, if you think all the organizational politics is fair up there, the same should be fair down there too. No?
