Hum Apke Hain Kaun?
PrologueâŠ
The grand entry of our hero, Maan Singh Khurana as the Royal Prince of his familyâŠ
The KhuranasâŠ.
Amarnath(late) and Devika Devi Khurana(late) â MSKâs Grandparents
Jagdish Khurana â Their elder son ; Naina Khurana â his wife
Madan Khurana â Their younger son ; Sheetal Khurana â his wife
Maan Singh Khurana â The one and only scion of the Khurana Khandan
Maan is not just another child in his family, he is Godâs gift after years of prayers by his familyâŠ
The Khurana family tree is a lean one, with dwindling lineage in every other generationâŠ
Amarnath Khurana was also a single child, he had no cousins, all his uncles had no childrenâŠ
Luckily he had two sons, Jagdish and MadanâŠâŠ
Jagdish still has no heirâŠ.
But Madan had Maan after a few years of his marriageâŠ
They say that itâs some kind of a curse on the Khurana family that they always have problems with having their off-springsâŠ
Maanâs birthâŠ.
Itâs celebration time after a long wait for the Khurana pariwarâŠ
Their little prince is here and the wait for the heir has ended after nearly a decade..
Jagdish doesnât have a child yet and even Madan had to wait for 6 six years to welcome the princeâŠ
Naina is happy to welcome the baby more than anyone elseâŠ
Why shouldnât she be?
After all the shaming by the relatives and the humiliation suffered by the Khurana family, especially the ladies, itâs time to shut everyoneâs mouth with Maan Singh Khuranaâs arrivalâŠ
Maan has a royal welcome, why not?, his entry into the Khurana Pariwar has restored their family pride, as far as the outsiders are concerned, and more importantly restored the smile on everyoneâs face in the family itselfâŠ
Sheetal is still tired after the deliveryâŠ.
Naina holds the babyâŠ.
Naina: babaji ki lakh lakh sukar hai, aakhir unhonne meri dua qubool kardhi, aaj mein bhi maa bangayi
Sheetal is only happy to hear thatâŠ.
Sheetal: kaise dikh raha hai didi?
Naina: bilkul Rajkumar dikhtha hai hummara beta, ab iss Khurana Khandan ko yahi Raj karega
Naina has already started dreaming about their bright futureâŠ
Naina was praying to every God she knew, while she kept Sheetalâs belief alive that they could become mothers soon with the almightyâs blessings, She didnât complain when her co-sister conceived before her, she was actually happy that babaji has answered her prayers somehow, she took utmost care of Sheetal during her pregnancyâŠ
Sheetal loved Naina like her elder sister, Naina protected her like a mother from the evil talks and abuses of the society for not being able to bear a childâŠ.
Whenever Sheetal lost hope and felt like someone with a huge flaw in herself, Naina scolded her for thinking negative and very low about herselfâŠ.
Naina: aaise koi sochtha hai kya? Kammi sirf hummari hi kaise hogi? Tum hi bathao, hum do alag pariwar ke betiyan hai, kami toh iss pariwar mein hi hai, najaane inn logon ne pichle janam mein kisski ghar bigada hai, ab hum saza parahe hai inki wajhe se
Sheetal: toh hummari shadhi issi pariwar mein kyun hui? Humne bhi zaroor koi paap kiya hoga didi
Naina: hare pagli, tum bahut nadaan ho, aur tumhara dil saaf hai, babaji tumme kabhi nirash nahi karenge, tum umeed rakho apne aap pe, tum bahut jaldh hi maa banogi
Sheetal: aap bahut achche ho didi, aaisa hi hai toh mujhse pehle aap maa banoge
Naina had all the bad experiences in the years before Sheetal came to the khandan and when people started pointing fingers on Sheetal too, after her marriage to Madan, then itself Naina decided that she would shield Sheetal from all the negativity which she thought affected her own chances of becoming a mother more than anything elseâŠ
Madan is a proud father nowâŠ.
He gifts his wife all the jewels of her choiceâŠ.
Madan: mein papa ban gaya hoon Sheetal, tumhare bina mein ye kar nahi sakta
Sheetal: aap ke pyaar ke bina bhi ye hotha nahi hai ji
Sheetal is all blushingâŠ
Madan: tumne hummari kadan ki bawishya ko bachaliya hai
Sheetal: ye toh bagwan ki kripa hai, humme unko shukriyada karna chahiye
Madan: mujhe toh pehle tumme shukriya kehna hai
Sheetal: aaise bade bade batein kyun kar rahe ho? Mein iss duniya ki pehli maa toh nahi
Madan: tumme patha nahi ki aaj mein kitna kush hoon, tumne hum sab ke mann ki bahut badi bhoj ko aaj halka kardhi
Sheetal: mein bhi aaj bahut kush hoon ji, mujhe bhi âmaaâ kehke bhulane wala koi aagaya hai
Though Jagdish always wanted to have his own child, he is happy that itâs a boy and not a girlâŠ. He has to be content that there is someone to take the family forwardâŠ
Jagdish is an ardent follower of astrology and he strongly believes that he would become a father only after his brother as the stars predictedâŠ.
He is happy in that case, now that his brother has a child his chances of having a child seems brighter than everâŠ.
Sheetal duty is only to feed Maan, everything else is taken care of by NainaâŠ
Naina takes good care of Sheetal tooâŠ.
Maan has the privilege of having the love and care of two mothers, he is pampered a lot by the men tooâŠ.
One eveningâŠ
Sheetal and Naina are watching Maan walk on his own for the first timeâŠ.
Sheetal held his hands initially and then let him try on his ownâŠ
Maan takes his baby steps wobbling as he is trying to balance⊠his cute act delights the two ladiesâŠ
Naina: aaj hummara Maan kitna bada ho gaya?
Sheetal: haan didi, ab chalna bhi seekh gaya, patha nahi kab nana munna Maan itna bada hua?
Naina: hare Sheetal, tum bhi na? Maan ke paithe hue ek saal hone wala hai
Sheetal: waqt kitne jaldhi guzar gaya ?
Naina: kushiyon ka waqt bahut jaldhi guzar jaatha, kyunki hum kushi mein waqt ko bhool hi jaathe
Sheetal: aap bahut sahi kehte hai didi
Naina: tumne kab meri baat ko galat kaha?
Sheetal: aap kabhi galat baat karte hi nahi
Naina: phir kya tum galat batein karthi rehthi ho?
Sheetal: aaisa nahi didi, aap bade ho, bade bade batein karte ho
Naina: tum itne achchi kaise ho sakti? Bagwan tumare har khwaish puri karein aur tum dono ko aaise hi kush rakhe
Naina takes the kajal from her eyes and keeps a teeka on Sheetalâs faceâŠ
Naina: bagwan tumme sare bhure nazar se bachayein
Naina is very protective of the mother and the son since Sheetal got pregnantâŠ
Naina has this fear that, since everyone is only talking about Maanâs birth and how it has brought back the happiness of the family it will bring bad luck to themâŠ.
Sheetal: humme Maan ke janam din ko bahut dhoom dham se manana hai
Naina: haan, bahut din badh hummare ghar mein dwahar ka mohaal aaya hai
They have a huge celebration for Maanâs first birthdayâŠ
Sheetal is so happy that her son received all the love from everyone, itâs always a joy to have a child at home, and there is nothing more precious than the happiness the child brings to the familyâŠ.
Maan starts speaking a few wordsâŠ
Both the mothers enjoy his childish blabbers togetherâŠ
Maan calls both of them âmaaâ onlyâŠ
That was the first word he correctly pronouncedâŠ
He used to call everyone the same wayâŠ
Sheetal corrected him and taught him to call them with their respective relationship but let him call Naina âmaaâ onlyâŠ
