Very beautifully written chapters.

I loved how you started both the present and past with Arnav standing in his terrace and thinking about his life.

Khushi, looks like is still the same bubbly girl, be it in the past or present.

While Arnav is cynical (?) both in the past and present, Khushi seems to take situations thrown at her better, both in the past and present.

Arnav was cribbing back then and even now.

Khushi is "When life throws lemons at you, make it into lemonade" attitude then and now.

But my heart goes out to Khushi more for now. And infidelity in anyway, be it emotional or physical is kind of crossing a line.

Let's see what you have instore for them.

Oh there were trauma, utter disgust, disbelief and shame when things got out. He was our friend too. But for me cheating is end of the deal. Just walk out with your self respect intact. That's all. Nothing justifies cheating, if u r in a serious relationship (especially a legal one like marriage, because even live in relationship has its own dignity sans the legal part). So I will not support Arnav or La and whatever shit of back story they had. Had Sex DONE. Arnav underestimate the power of media I guess, as mentioned by Lavanya, she will ultimately tagged as homewrecker but it is two way process. Men often shamed very less compared to women. Especially married one. Without there encouragment nothing happens so cheating men should shamed as well.

Men get off too easy most of the time. With other men even looking up to them and envying them. Women are supposed to just forgive them.

What did go wrong? As far as the story goes Arnav was always straight as an arrow, whatever made him do this? Betraying his wife in the worst possible way.

Nicely written story. Liking it so far.

There is so much warmth in reading the lives of a nineteen year old girl who is kind, honest and wants make everyone happy. A young man who has seen so much loss in his life and struggling to succeed.

How their lives changed in a decade. Would love to read it more.

Like someone else had written above, a couple I know are getting divorced and I don't know what went wrong, the reasons behind it. They always came across as this lovely warm couple. I guess we'll never know fully what happens in people's lives.

I don't think it is anyone's fault when two people sort of grow apart. It happens, especially when they get into a relationship very young. While some will grow together, supporting each other in their individual journeys. Others will drift apart in time. Maybe that is what happened with your Arnav and Khushi. But at this point my sympathies are with that girl who entered his life as a nineteen year old, nobody deserves to be cheated on. I'm wondering about her dreams, did she get to fulfill them?
