Even I saw the whole nepo debate played out online & I agreed with it & am sure ofc, that they expressed interest in her b/c she’s SRK’s daughter but she clearly adds something to the brand value. Aryan got the Adidas endorsement b/c of his millions of Followers. Companies prefer approaching either upcoming models or star kids who the audience has an interest in, rather than influencers (and many choose influencers too) it’s all about the money, honey. 😆

Bachchans and SRK promote family. Everyone knows that. They are big into self promotion. Amitabh even got a non glam and non celeb like Shweta ads, mag covers, podcasts and whatnot at middle age.

Star dads can get anything for kids at any age and even without iota of merit or qualities.

Amir's daughter is not nearly as glam & popular as Suhana and nor would she generate as much publicity for a brand. SRK's kids have always gotten papped, articles & buzz just because they're SRK's kids and Suhana a least tries to appear glam, maintains a body and appears in parties.

What are they supposed to do..turn down Maybelline's offer out of moral obligation to free up space for outsiders? That's not how real life works..yes it's unfair but so is life.

If public is so outraged, they should stop buying Maybelline's products. Ain't no screaming bloody murder would stop them from signing up star kids since as long as people are talking about the endorsement and the brand, they benefit.

For our corporate jobs most of us train ourselves to speak and present well for giving presentations before management. Here she can have personality/soft skills trainers at her beck and call yet she presents herself so below-average.

I think this is the problem with this new generation of actors... They are more focussed on 'looking' a certain way and are more interested in getting their plastic surgery right.

.. I don't see any of them having good soft skills or media management ability let alone any innate charm... As long as they are getting social media validation they are happy

That's an interesting point actually. From Maybelline's PoV, Suhana promoting Maybelline's make up would probably cater to more ordinary, regular Indian women, rather than say Katrina would.

And make up is not exclusive for pretty models.

Suhana gives them big name, buzz, discussion, dusky skin, unconventional looks, someone who spoke up against being called names for being dark and voila here we have a successful campaign 😆
