Just because Sai didn't refer to Vs cheating in her outburst to P does not mean she has excused him.

I think the fact that she doesn't trust V to be explain anything to Vinu shows that she's not forgotten his deeds. If she really is only rejecting proposal for Vinus sake , she would have tried to address that rather than leave and get married/pretend to be married to another man. If she really had no qualms with Vs past actions and has accepted it as haalat, she could have used the umpteen opportunities she got to get close to him. So i disagree that she's trying to be mahaan. She may put the focus on Vinu but her mistrust in V is due to other factors.

I am hopeful that she will have an outburst on V too. He will demand explanation and she will lose her cool. Moreover she will be pissed that he never let her speak and assumed things. Her only thought on the way back from mission was irritation that V simply assumed things, that too something he wanted to be true rather than ask her for her opinion. She was not happy.

Sai is not giving up Vinu but she's changed her mind and her approach. Earlier she was confident she could make herself Vinu ki aai and remove unfit P from Vinus pilife. But she has run out of ideas to make Vinu see her as the aai and not P. She's exhausted and broken. He is so firmly obsessed with P that Sai feels is better to be in his life from a little distance than disrupt things for him trying to assert her claim and forcibly separate him. If he's so happy with P then she is letting him be but she will not sacrifice and leave. She will eventually make sure she still has a way of being in Vinus life. She knows she has to figure out joint custody coz both kids are attached to each other, V and to CN. But she needs to also be part of their upbringing and have a say in things.

I completely disagree that she is a doormat.

Even though scenes could be written better I still feel Sai is strong and righteous
