When we have accepted that Meerab's character is poorly written than why are we adamant upon making all her rights wrong and stupidity as senseful. The audience on Instagram and YouTube are pretty positive and chilling. They calls out Murtasim when he is wrong but never defends Meerab in her stupidity as well.
When I go to Twitter, the toxicity makes me feel like I watched another serial but the opinions on Instagram and YouTube makes me feel like I watched a normal serial. Meerab is stupid, so we must accept it and move on.
Writer wrote a weak female lead so what? I have grown up watching female centric dramas, so why not a male centric drama. Not every time a heroine has to be good. Why is a male centric drama so unacceptable for feminists?
I just uninstalled Twitter since the hypocrisy was destroying the charm of Murtasim for me, by blaming him for Meerab's every stupid action, like what on earth?? Why keep dragging Murtasim in her mistakes as if he asked her to dance, make fish, run in fields, remove bullets, do pregnancy fiasco and many other dumb acts.
I have been following the forum since the beginning and initially I enjoyed it because their were balanced reviews but now after seeing everyone's disappointment from Meerab, I just want you all to chill, because a girl like her is never intelligent, she is always sheltered and pampered, which makes it hard for her to make wise decision. I know such girls very well. They always need someone to clean their mess, like Meerab makes Murtasim do it for her every time.
A girl who can trust her classmates love by one confession and a white board, a girl who could believe in anas's love by one meeting, but is blind to accept Murtasim's love, who had gone beyond for her is plain stupid and will never learn in easy way. The director, writer and Yumna Zaidi said the same about her character, that she is bound to learn the hard way.
Everyone just grab your popcorn and go with the flow. I will keep tissues along with me to watch the upcoming heartbreak of Murtasim Khan and his past unraveling.
Stay positive! ❤️🤗
