I think it also depends on the tone which he uses. If he brings up the divorce with concern towards Meerab, then there is a chance that she will express her feelings after thinking and realizing about her feelings.

If there is any other reason for bringing up the divorce, then she may keep her self-respect above everything and may agree to the divorce.

No he didn’t doubt her but he had questions! So many unanswered questions!

Unpopular opinion but I feel like Murtasim will never keep Meerab against her will. Because after the accident when he thought that she doesn't want to live with him, he became silent and not for once forced her, similarly after Rohail's incident Murtasim gave her the choice to either come with him or stay in Karachi but didn't forcefully took her.

I feel like Murtasim does love Meerab a lot but so far he has mostly prioritized her wishes upon his own, so at any point if Meerab will want to leave him, I don't think that he will show coercion but he would simply let go, as he always does.

It's just my opinion, I might be wrong though

I am sorry Neha to answer this question honestly I have to rewrite my entire thesis. I can only defend one POV at a time.

My short answer is he could never say something like this, but what he is not capable of saying he will do.

He will turn his back on her, it will be their symbolic divorce.

KMK has one BIG weakness that will defeat his love, hence why he asked her to jump. He knows it and she knows it too now.

Her reaction to his weakness will be to sentence him to death.

Our girl is brutal that way.

maybe he can let her go, get physically apart but not in the sense that they will be forever separated
