The interview is not pertaining ghum. but I find this to be a really good interview and a lot of little things Rupali has said makes me realize how much the PH plays a role in presenting things in a certain way. Thats where GHKKPM has lost the plot after setting up the show nicely but it is the brand value of starplus and also the audience hesitation to abandon something they are habitiated to, thats the reason they are surviving with good enough TRPs. When she talks about how it is all on the PH to choose from the content and present things in a non cringe way, I immediately thought- why dont GHKKPM makers do that. why do they find the most negative and toxic plot, why are they always torturing the FL....

another aspect that I will point out is how she talks about the women who meet her and say that they were impacted by a TV show content- that they learnt something. so it proves that TV isnt just mindless fiction. people do get impacted by what they see. and its not just meant to be popcorn or cringe entertainment Thats exactly where ghkkpm fails. What is ghkkpm message- that criminal behaviour can be excused, that misogyny and patriarchy are cool, that an abusive marriage should be nibhaoed, that a woman should reconcile with a man who has betrayed her by always prioritizing other things, people.

There is a responsibility makers have to be cognizant of what their message is and what they are endorsing. And while a show like anupama also a lot of OTTness- they do care about the ultimate message. wahaan par bhi log flip hote hai, issues get forgotten, etc etc but they do call things out atleast. But ghkkpm does NOT.

This show wouldn’t have worked if it wasn’t for the leads. Ayesha did something right.

Now, I’m talking about me and only myself and no one has as to agree to me. I don’t watch shows if I don’t connect to the emotional aspect of characters. Neil and Ayesha together have created magic on screen for me, but Ayesha is the one who made me fall for the littlest things she did. The little expressions and emotions she’s portrayed have won the heart of many people. I didn’t know about her personally then. So no her nice personality did not make me watch her. She did. Her screen presence did. She has many flaws as an actor, no denying that. People loving her more than necessary on SM, that also is not something which can be controlled. Everyone put their favorite on a pedestal. It’s inevitable.

However, I totally disagree with the part where you say they get TRPs so she doesn’t put efforts. The others might not, but she puts a loooot of efforts. You would know if you followed her closely. Her efforts shouldn’t be overlooked. She works tooth and nail to be Sai Joshi on tv, no matter how hard it has been at times !

After Sushant Singh Rajput if I really like someone from itv industry then it's Ayesha Singh ......she gives me the same vibes as of SSR....even the struggle story is similar.....and not to forget their brilliant acting skills and classy behaviour❤️....what I love about Ayesha is her dedication and she tries her best for perfection❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️...she is quite intelligent as an actor ❤️❤️❤️❤️the best part her is she doesn't copy anyone....unique ❤️❤️❤️❤️
