A similar decision seems to have been working out well for Sireesha and Nihal too. Sireesha has 2 more songs in PS-2, and again over the weekend she has posted IG Stories from ARR's studio. Nihal does seem to be in Mumbai, but he has continued to keep his regional connections going - another one of his songs featured in a recent release last week.

Sonakshi was also a part of Indian Idol junior. She was the little girl with purse who would carry a list, I think. she didn’t make it to the top. Probably finished 6th or 7th back then too.

Bang on. And Shreya Ghoshal was the judge at that time. Evidently she remembered Sonakshi, which I think they edited out - because they only showed her telling Sonakshi it is good to see your growth or something like that. Which means there must have been some more context before that which was edited out.

He has some great numbers in Kannada and Tulu.

I would love to watch Idol 12 episodes all over again. But not available anywhere for the full season. I read somewhere that Sony copyright expires for previous seasons. Is it true? So who has it now? TCT? Whoever has it, wish it was uploaded somewhere.

Initially, I read it was available in Daily Motion. But I think only a few episodes are there.
PV_IFhandle, you had been watching the previous episodes , if I remember. Was it on YouTube?

All the six deserved to be declared winners. Giving Rishi Singh the trophy was ok but the drama of bringing the Pujari from Ayodhya and announcing that the final victory will be of Rishi was absurd. The way Rishi was treated & introduced in the entire season was so annoying. Ayodhya clips, ‘desh ka dulara’, ‘ next best thing’ etc.

Desh ka dulara reminded me of Sayli as ‘ bharat ki beti’. . Mani was ‘ desh ka ladla or beta’. So what does it make of the others??? 😡

‘ the next best thing’ meant that others are only second best! 🙄

And how does Ayodhya punya bhoomi enhance his caliber? I mean, if Rishi was from Chunabatti, will it undermine his talent?

On the one hand Rishi was injected into our psyche through these, and on the other, Sonakshi was sidelined for long. Not blaming Rishi, he was a pawn in the game & could stand on his own despite all this.
But the writers need some serious shake-up reg such lines, it can affect the morale of the other contestants. 🙄

Yes that's the problem with Sony Liv. They don't renew the rights for Indian Idol 😕

I don't understand if Sony Liv is the digital platform for Sony shows why the rights get expired. This doesn't happen on other platforms.

I don't have any idea where can we get the full episodes. @PV_IFhandle may help.

Initially I was not very interested in Nihal but he grew on me gradually. He had shown great growth and became a fantastic performer. Definitely his voice is his USP.

I too find him better than Danish. Thankfully he was in the finale. But one contestant who should have been in the finale in place of Danish was Ashish. Such a cool performer. He deserved to be a finalist.
