Nobody can predict or anticipate sexual assault! Children and adults alike can experience it within the joint family system too!
One cannot always live in the fear and suspicion of assault. This is a weak argument. These points invalidate working parent/ parents entirely. If assault is the concern Savi and Vinu can be taught about good touch and bad touch, alert an adult in case of feeling unsafe etc.
Sai and Vinu are the legal heirs Vinu was concieved and born during the period Sairat were married, Savi was concieved while they were married together even if the show is dicey about the married status of the leads it does not change that the children are legal heirs. Their rights will not be taken away because of Sai staying separately or getting married to someone else.
So are women characters supposed to stay in toxic relationships and marriages for the sake of kids? Would this be expected of Sai even if she had been subjected to physical abuse by V?
If Blood is thicker than water, by that logic will Devi's own mother and her uncle have driven her to insanity?
So many parents out there adopt kids, are they not capable of bringing up children? Is it not possible for someone on the forum who might be an adoptive parent themselves to read things like 'An orange can't grow in an apple tree' ? or something along these lines and find it hurtful.
Granted, yes this is fiction but does perspective and how it is put across have no role in it?
