I'll pick Kareena but then , very few of such movies I have watched since 2000s .

IMO the best performance by a heroine in a commercial film and also the best commercial film and meatiest role for a woman in Hindi cinema has to be Hema in Seeta Aur Geeta and it turned around her career and how roles were written for heroines anr heroine dominated commercial films began from there. Otherwise heroine dominated commercial films were hardly there or based on abuse or mere romance or weddings.

From current era, there are not many.

Except perhaps Kajol in Gupt, Vidya in TDP, Deepika in Ram Leela.
