I saw today's episode after almost 10 days...... and Abhira's awkwardness towards their significant partners continues..... story has not moved yet, but today was definitely the calm before the next storm. From tomorrow the story will move again.
The major difference between the two couples is this -
With Navra clearly, Ak is so uncomfortable letting Nav close but she is so desperate to hold on to this relationship and forcing herself to take this next step. But Nav is so delusional he is unable to see that hesitancy or he lacks the sensitivity to do so. Yet again, true to her inherent nature, Ak is hiding her thoughts from Nav regarding what she is comfortable with and without.....at some point, Nav will (or should) realize Ak's true feelings and that's when the real test in this relationship will start. Ab bore a lot due to Ak's reticence and her penchant to hide her feelings, but how will Nav react to this side of Ak? With this puja it appears that Nav is happy for now, so Ak has gained a reprieve and intimacy has been pushed for another time..... but Abhir's illness is like that destiny's hand that will give them a reality check.
With Abhirohi, AR is more aware of Ab's state of mind. And that makes her hesitant too. This is due to Ab's straightforward, honest nature, as he despises lies, so he laid out his situation and feelings clearly and lets her decide their future. There is no ambiguity in this relationship.... what you see is what you get between them. So she can see his inherent struggle and also his attempts to do the right thing for Ruhi. They have also developed an understanding, and friendship over these 6 years, all centered around Ruhi, so for the time being they will be content to continue.
Highlight is definitely Ab's thoughts regarding Abhir..... ever since the kid called him his uneasiness has increased. And the inability to just pick up the phone and talk to Navra and warn them bothers him, both as a well-wisher for the kid and a doctor.... hope he remembers Muskaan and just like how he sent that bracelet, hope he sends a message to Navra through her..... CV's ki jai ho if they can think of it!
Finally, now that they have confirmed the Navra wedding, if they want Abhira back together, killing Nav off is probably the only recourse left..... again this being ITV, I wonder if they will show the FL divorcing her current husband and going back to her ex. That would be blasphemy to an ITV FL's morality! ITV viewers will inherently prefer Ak being a widow when Abhira reunites....
Unless Abhira is not the end game, then as such there is no story left.... then even Abhir's health track is a waste... both Abhira are shown on a path to move on and away from each other.....this is the end of the road for them, they continue to live their lives just like how they did the last 6+ years, nothing needs to change....then the show can stop at this point.
