because the only person doing the talking is viaan and we have no idea what she feels about this fictional viaan. does she have any reaction to those thoughts? zero, except a blank stare. is she repulsed? is she mad? does she agree with him? does she feel sorry for him? nothing, nada!

all we get is deep internal thoughts from viaan always -- he is the multifaceted charcter. katha has not grown and continues to be rather one dimensional FL and we don't even know what she thinks half the time on key moments.

Yeah I get your point completely- but in this case I thought it was just Viaan telling Katha what he feels, he still doesnt know how/what she is feeling so her having reactions/dialogues would make it weird right?

Plus I was thinking what if it had been made in a way that it was actually Katha imagining the scene (which isnt how they did it ofc!) but then that would technically indicate what she wants Viaan to say. That would be her version of Viaan speaking, it would have brought out her dilemma so well.

So she wouldnt have needed dialogues/reactions in either perspective but I think showing it as primarily Katha's imagination would have made the scene connect with us more by showing her side for a change!

Yeah honestly, I was a bit confused by that.

I get that it is purely Katha's personal crisis thats making her bring that question up but its literally putting Viaan in the spot! Its quite unfair on him, especially when Katha herself has observed a change in him. Cant blame her completely either because she is reliving her trauma.

Its the fact that people think she would be unbiased because no one else knows about the night, right!

And our girlie is too righteous so she cant say no to added responsibilities🤣 But i also think she said yes because this would kinda help her get some closure.

Idk if I'm thinking too much just to find some depth and logic, and the makers havent really given so much of a thought before putting it on screen😆

BEST SCENE TILL NOW..His voice modulations and rendering is too perfect.. Sincerely in his voice is so genuine...Loved Adnan and actually had tears in my eyes once he finished his lines...

this is why we need live wire type emotional drama. for some reason, the makers are obsessed with keeping scenes muted and that only highlights more the lack of flow. I would rather take high live wire drama because I would at least not fall asleep.

so here is what I think the makers were trying to do:

1. katha thinks she is over the one night stand because she compartmentalized it and also made peace with viaan

2. because she thinks she is over it, she thinks she is okay to take part in committee and agrees.

3. however, during the process, she starts to be reminded of what happened and starts to experience a volley of deep emotions. she is experiencing contrasting emotions that is leaving her more and more confused. she looks at viaan and she does not know what she is supposed to feel. she is scared and overwhelmed

this is what we should have been shown - then her being biased would have made more sense from an emotional perspective. instead, it is always muted and she just stares into space and we are just supposed to deduce how she feels and feel for her position. 🙄🙄🙄

If Katha was not part of the committee, she would be sitting on the other side, being interviewed. That would not help Viaan’s case at all!

That outburst might actually be another imagination. Who knows, she might be terrified that she will end up asking that question and letting the cat out of the bag. Probably something that keeps her up at night. let’s see!

In a way I'm glad that so many people are angry at Katha...at least that's stirring some conversations on this forum!! 😂 It reminds me of the time when everyone was complaining about Viaan in the beginning 😭 🤣

Here's what I think about Katha not being neutral in this whole situation: SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCEPTED THE OFFER OF BEING ON THE COMMITTEE IN THE FIRST PLACE!! (Sorry for screaming through the Caps Lock 😂 )

I get it that everyone thinks Katha would have no personal agenda; they cannot even imagine of Katha dn Viaan having had the physical relationship that they had. However, SHE KNOWS!! She knows that Viaan and her have an active history. Moreover, this history is not a pleasant one for her. She knows that investigating this case would enable her to relive her traumas, and worse, inflict her biasses onto this case. And this case is not a joke; it's an extremely serious case of harassment. If Katha was truly sensible, she should have rejected the offer. This is my opinion.

And if she indeed does take the case, it's her utmost responsibility to try her best to not bring her ONS into consideration. But clearly she does not do that. And it's damn irritating to see that.
