This is why I have no respect for GK. Ekta on the other hand is very very conscious of such things.

I didn't watch Ishqbaaz live, so I missed out on the problems.

Oh nooooo poor Surbhi, thank god Nakul was a gentleman. Disha said too Nakul is the best actor to romance he is like SRK makes the actress comfortable, and it shows in his chemistry with his actresses.

I love my Ishqbaaz I have no shame in admitting it. I love my Shivaay and Anika. I shudder to think what they did to her on Laal Ishq consummation episode. It was beautifully shot, but I hate to think she was humiliated doing it.

I didn't know Gul was this awful. Bad bad bad lady who can't control her team, she is a woman too SHAMEFUL. Good on Ekta alteast she gets somethings right. Is that why her actors are more loyal to her.

I have read a lot of people criticizing Meerabs parents Waqas and Anila. And to be honest I kind of feel sorry for them.

I think that her parents feel like they no longer have any right on her or right to meddle in her life because she is not their daughter.

When they adopted her they promised that one day they would give her back. They couldn’t go back on their word. They couldn’t break their promise. In their point of view she was never theirs to keep. They always knew that one day she would have to return to her real family. But she became the most important person to them. Someone they couldn’t spend a day without.

That is probably why they didn’t open the door that day. Because if they did, they wouldn’t be able to leave her again. They couldn't say goodbye to her all over again. Lose her all over again (because this is a drama series they had to make it extra dramatic).

She is not the only one that is suffering, they are too. It is painful for them to lose their daughter and tell her that they are not her family. That they are nobody to her. I feel like Waqas didn’t only say to her, but also to remind them that she is not theirs and it was the time for them to keep their promise and return her.

She might not be their blood, but she is their daughter. Someone they love more than anybody in the world. She grew up with them. She called them mom and dad and looked up to them. They were a part of her identity. People she looked up to. Someone who loved them as much as they did. Now she doesn't want to talk to them and when she does talk to them, it is usually something rude and hurtful.

They had to see her being humiliated, thrown out of the house and being distressed. And they felt like they couldn't do anything about it. They couldn’t help her. Because they are outsiders. They are not her family. They felt helpless and probably useless because they couldn’t shield her from the pain and humiliation she was going through. Their daughter that they had spoiled and shields from the world was now going through so much, but they can’t do anything about it. They can’t help her. That has to be painful for them to watch.

To some they might seem like they are cowards, but they feel like they have no right. They can’t speak against her “real” family, the people who gave them their most cherished person. The people who they owe so much to.

But I will have to say the whole Rohail thing was stupid and a little ooc.

So actors, especially A-listers like Yumna and now Wahaj shouldn't do such shows? Does it take away their credibility was my question.

So a lot of Pak shows are based on established literary works right. So the concern is TB is not based on a well written novel, problem is not the romance. It is written by a female writer who is basically seen as writing fan fiction very easy to mock. Will they get the same flak if they did romeo and juliet.

ITV is just giant toxic mess of all you can eat fan fiction bonanza, there is no logic, no credibility, no substance. Yes we watch it and take what we can leave the rest, but I can understand general worries that Pak dramas are shifting to this ITV format of story telling. I doubt one drama will change the entire face of the industry.

Does doing a drama like this take away their credibility as actors. I don't even get what 'doing such shows' even mean. What defines their credibility, how did they earn it. If a show doesn't send out a social message that means you are damaging your credibility, they are actors not activists.

If Tom Cruise did fifty shades of grey we would all be like dude what the hell, not just because the project is bad because it is beneath him. Now the real question is are Meerab and Murtasim beneath Yumna and Wahaj, if you believe it is then ofcourse they are damaging their credibility, if you think there is scope in these characters for them to do their job honestly and push their limits then I say bravo. I personally think Yumna and Wahaj are expanding their portfolio, learning new things, improving their craft, so if all this is true then what is so credibility damaging.

The same argument people say A list Hollywood actors should not do marvel movies, because cartoon caricature villains and heroes are beneath them. Now who wants to argue this point?

ive seen a lot of yumna’s drama’s and its nice to see something different. Same goes with wahaj, he usually plays romantic roles but here the romantic and angry young men role is suiting him well..

I think at the end, it will all depend on how the story goes. Was the writer able to stay true to each character? Was their character buildup? Did the plot make sense? And so on..
