Oh ok. If he is non-Maharashtrian then it's another welcome change because so far even small characters are shown Maharashtrians in the show. We can see another culture in the show through his family.

Virat can't do much as he practically has no rights over her. The makers can choose any one path from here onwards, make Virat do dumb annoying things in his jealousy as he is not able to accept that there can be another man in Sai's life other than him or show him outright mahaan by becoming Sai's modak again and letting her be with Satya.

I really won't want to see a jealous and insecure Virat again. That phase is gone. Hope at least this time he handles the situation maturely lol.
