In love stories MLs don't cheat on FLs in Hindi serials and if a ML does something really low they simply change the ML and bring in a new guy for the FL. They seperate mostly because of misunderstandings. I cannot recall any popular Jodi from Hindi serial where the ML consciously cheats on the FL. I am solely taking about love story based Hindi serials like ipkknd, kitni mohabbat hai, star one dramas etc where there is equal importance to both the leads and not family dramas like kyunki and kahaani as the ML is easily replaceable in these kind of dramas and the FL is the sole important character.

Whereas in pak dramas MLs will have 2 wives and it's shown to be okay because the religion allows it and characters give triple talak when they feel like it and most female characters are in fear of getting a divorce right then and there. Even in pyaar ke sadkey someone as meek and submissive as abdullah openly cheated on mahjabeen and got her in the end. The only Hindi serial where the ML is shown to be cheating is silsila and the drama itself was about extra marital affair and as far as i know the wife never took him back. The drama also received a lot of backlash because of the theme and they had to change the storyline because of that.

I haven't seen any Hindi serial in the last 7 yrs and even before i only used to watch romantic dramas and not shows like yrkkh or saath nibhana sathiya type ones.

Even though i don't watch that drama i love the song and now it's ruined forever 🤣
