You should always keep your financial and emotional independence. Shared bank account between partners is okay in one-two places for FDs and all, but you should have a single bank account for your salary, and have onus to decide where that money goes. It is not imperative to have a shared group of friends, it is wonderful to have your own circle where you can vent out and take advice.
