1) In today's world, everybody can book cab online but the serial has to show that FL wandering unknown place in search of auto and get into trouble. Even if woman can't be strong physically unless prepared but they can protect themselves by handling smartly. If Katha is handling this for so many years, she must know this. But for showing herogiri of ML, they have to show FL dumb.

2) They are going to Lonavala which is cold place and Katha didn't carry her jacket. Wow. So that they have to show cringey way of showing herogiri.

Can't they make love story of really strong and independent woman?

I am not sure ‘strong and independent’ is defined by you in what context.

She is quite strong mentally, emotionally and psychologically.

The way she fought for her son after losing her husband.

The way she never let anyone know/ doubt in office all the emotional and physical turmoil she was going through in her personal life definitely makes her a strong and independent woman.

But if being strong means not relying on others, that’s not quite correct context.

Because humans or for that matter animals are social beings and she always did have people around her to help her out :- Falguni and other elders we see in the beginning.

For carrying jacket, in the month of March I guess temperature has already shot up in Lonavla and it’s almost summer.

So her not carrying one is okay in my opinion when she is wearing a full sleeve shirt

@red, Usually hill station get chill in evening plus quiet a windy place. They worked till late night (they reached for dinner when Dhaba is about to close). They are in field trip that means they are not just staying in hotels.

If it is such a hot place then Viaan also don't have to carry the coat. But they want to show stereotypical ways of romance where woman doesn't carry jacket knowing it's a hill station but man will have at the right time to offer her. This doesn't happen nowadays especially among collegue. We do help our collegue in trips but we prepared ourselves for atleast basic stuff. The first thing we ask how cold that place or what kind of jacket needed there.

I am not blaming character. I am blaming makers to show these things still. You/Makers can give many excuses/reason to support this.

@blue, I will go with Google definition of being independent :-

not depending on others for livelihood and subsistence.

Isn't daily commute a basic stuff. Do you believe Katha who always worked overtime and part time real estate broker doesn't know how to handle late night travel commute? I don't believe it.

There is nothing wrong in being dependent on others but the problem is when you yell at the person how you don't need that person when he helped/saved you. This is pseudo-feminism which Katha showed.

We can agree on it would Katha's fault in personality but I am more upset towards Maker as they can show real feminism how woman can handle late night travel and doesn't need savior last minute.
