smriti -- I personally think the early EK serials were such gold. 🤣🤣 I remember me and my cousin sister unwinding in front of the TV after a long tiring day and just laughing our heads off. it was cheesy, funny and dramatic, entertaining and mindless all at the same time. but yes, if we see how theatrical our political tamasha is, how can our TV dramas be any different? we are just a dramatic lot. 🤣🤣🤣

that said, for me, it is not whether a drama is subtle or over the top -- I am okay regardless of how loud or quiet it is. for me, it is always about plot and character development.

am glad you mentioned his first bare-foot apology -- that is the kind of energy and pangs I wanted to see here. in the office, when he imagined speaking to katha that he was human -- there was those pangs. from those scenes, there is something missing to this chai scene -- it didn't quite connect and felt like a small lapse in continuation energy wise.

given the depth of the wound, it was so meh that the scene was so muted. I felt like katha is an antibiotics and no energy except to just nod. 🤣🤣 like you said, it seems the makers want them to be friends asap.

but I hope it happens later like you have laid out -- the conflict and pain here is real and I don't want it brushed aside nonsensically. I want the makers to confront this head on rather than make him out to be a super nice ML. no, let him have his flaws, his stupidities and times when he is all over the place energy wise. this is a 20+ year old wound. it cannot be magically healed.

Yesterday Katha not only looked at him,even she smiled at him. Viaan was so relieved and overwhelmed seeing her smiling . That was such a beautiful scene. I thought u will write something really nice about their conversation. But sadly u didn't enjoy it.😭
