I actually loved the initial Viaan.

Even after repentance they could have kept his nature same and shown good side in a different way.

Like how he helped to search Araav, etc.

Adan was fab in that role.

the reason it feels like a change in character is the removal of a key aspect of viaan -- him being khadoos and all serious. so a person can be multifacted with multiple interests such as reading, photography, driving etc. so it wouldn't seem strange to seem him singing, dancing and making tea if they kept that part of him being khadoos.

let me give you an example: I posted this before but I will share it again.in the comment section, someone laughs about how they were surprised by the range of expression in his vocals given that he has such a serious face throughout it all. that is what I would have liked to see with viaan singing.

the dancing was still fine because there was earlier scene where he was refusing to dance initially and then got up to shake a leg. that seemed okay to me.

the tea making was off. yes, we have seen him take over in in the kitchen in his own house to make salad but who does that in some random dhaba. that seemed a bit over the top.

basically what I need to see is viaan to still be that tightly wound serious person. here, it feels like him confronting the truth all of sudden, he lost a part of himself which is kind of strange. thats why it feels like rather than seeing him as a multifacted person (which is what the singing, dancing and tea making is supposed to show), it feels like some strange viaan.

I didn't know much about Gashmeer few years back. Have seen him in initial promos & clippings of SP serial Imlie, he & actress Sumbul came across to me as raw & talented performers for the roles assigned to them with good screen presence.👏 When Imlie story went into making a sane, educated, mature & victim step sister as evil just to make viewers sympathize with teenager FL more, with two sisters fighting for same man in typical bigamy crime drama plotting's being highlighted, I stopped even following written updates/spoilers of that serial.

Later came to know he quit Imlie mid way, even when it was running at its peak, then last year saw Gashmeer as participant in Jhalak on rangu channel. On Jhalak he was a tall, simple, energetic, able dancer & learner, again with towering screen presence. That's when came to know he is a highly popular, successful star of Marathi cinema, web & TV, even worked as judge of a dance reality show.

Happen to read few old IV's of Gashmeer while checking Jhalak, can say very few male actors are so upfront in commenting what's going right & wrong with Hindi daily soaps, 👍🏼he says he looks for new characters that satisfy & challenge artist in him for his own learning's, more than working for sake of making money on TV or just to be visible in long running popular serials.

If Gashmeer was offered Viaan in finite series KA last year, has rejected for reasons known to him, feel it takes some courage to openly admit it as a mistake from his side when KA is still new and running, plus also appreciate Aditi's performance & the series.👏We as viewers have accepted & will continue to appreciate/criticize Adnan as Viaan in KA, that's a different subject.

Pata nahi ushke ek comment se sab itne kyun bhadke hue hei. Aditi is a fab actor and who doesn't want to work with such actors. As a popular actor Gasneer didn't want to take the risk. It's ok.

Viaan is a controversial character. It's Adnan who took the risk and made the character likable. Otherwise toh hum log jutte,chappal ke sath ready the🤣

I have not seen his work but ho sakta h achcha actor ho.

But i didnt like his unprofessional behaviour he could have simply said i missed opportunity to work with her.

Like there is one pakistani actor Farhan Saeed who gave an interview recently where he was asked such question he did mention he regret passing a role which is getting lot of appreciation but the host kept on asking if he is talking about xyz role or other one he politely said someone else is doing that now i wont like to say anything jabki he is popular for not being down to earth .

Anyways if he is a good actor j m sure bhedia show me bhi accha karega 😂
