The scene really tugged on my heart strings 😭 , right from the teasers. It just felt like a sudden burst of pure, hopeful, and intense sweetness amidst the other angst ridden scenes in that and the prior episode. Almost like a pure fairytale, Prince Charming moment ….suddenly thrust upon us. It instantly exposed the underlying truth in their fiery relationship. ( Because ultimately, kuch tho tha, otherwise these two grand clashing personalities would have never ever agreed to marry, with religious significance which was important to them, and join themselves, their pride, and their Izzat together, even despite their majhburi). For me, this scene also started the rest of their story as partners, as he led her away, with the lyrics in the background… Dholla Dholla Dholla… uljhi tari sang….🫠😮‍💨

U r right, kuch tho tha!! Did u notice the longing in his eyes while she cuts her bday cake? It was a very brief moment but then Wahaj's nuances were so on point. Not sure if I am reading too much into that scene. There were many such instances--like the time @ the hospital where he instantly reaches out to her but she flinches her hand. And also at many places,he keeps reiterating the fact that it was she who doesnt want to get married to him.

I'd like to believe that his cold behavior towards her before marriage was always due to his big fat ego that was getting in the way. And knowing his family and their conservative approach, he knew that she would never be able to pursue a career of her choice and maybe thats y he even initiated the marriage proposal so that she could get away from this circus.
