Priyanka Chopra's father Retd Col. Ashok Chopra will be recording a song for the film Ku Ka Kee being produced by newcomer Rajesh Kumar. Shreya Ghosal will be singing the duet number with Mr. Chopra.
We spoke to Mr. Chopra who told us, "I feel happy that Pradeep Das [music director] liked my voice and gave me this chance. The song is called Dill Mein Mere. It is a meticulous number with beautiful lyrics. Singing is my passion but now since I have got an opportunity I am more than excited and thankful to the almighty."
How many hours in a day do you riyaaz? "Actually, I still pursue my profession so I have to go the clinic every day. Whenever I have time I sit down to riyaaz for hours together. And now after getting this offer I need to sit down more regularly."
Would you like to sing a duet with your daughter Priyanka? "Oh! my God we have not thought of it. Right now she is doing well in her acting career so let her continue with that."
Music director Pradeep Das comments, "He has a soul stirring and breathtaking voice. When I heard him sing for the 'Jawan Day' I decided to use his voice in my next film."
