Direction of the show

I watch it on and off. Like all the actors from the leads to supports- mama G(who I can’t help but think will break into “Sure sure” from imli), Neerja, Arav and even Reet. I like ehsan as an actor. Excellent work. But can I please way I LOVE the way they have directed this. The music is toned and nice, the direction more like a river than a typhoon. There is no intense music for every emotion and action. There is no hundreds of closeups and shocked expressions. There’s subtlety, grace and calmness in the direction. After all the same direction we have on ITV with OT bg music and shots this is a breath of fresh air.

I agree with you. Direction is top notch from the day 1. Katha Ankahee looks like some high class web series.

The background music is the highlight of the show. Also the recently added Khare raste song is like cherry on the cake. That song is just perfect.

There's a strange pattern last few years seen with hindi TV serials. Be it in terms of media coverage, awards, stage events, rewards, interviews or on social media.. lime light of popular or critically acclaimed serials get mostly hogged by producers, writers or creatives, other than the actors unlike films where director is majorly regarded as captian of the ship. 🤔Rarely directors of TV serial get appreciated or honored in getting their deserving hype for their vision, efforts, talent, execution, co-ordination, team spirit, extracting able performances. May be also because most generic saas-bahu-vamp, kitchen politics, bigamy/polygamy, unending crime plotting's, rich joint families crowded hall ott dramas lazily follow almost similar templates across serials for execution?

But there are many such scenes even in other serials where we can observe, some directors have compensated for lame writing with their shots, postures, camera angles, gestures where even with some silent scenes of leads the impact on viewers is much more than what 10 pages dialogues can do at times. 👍🏼

Yes KA actors have been publicly acknowledging vision & efforts of director Ravi that's reflecting well in their onscreen performances. Glad viewers are also able to appreciate what good execution means,👏 direction teams need to get their proper dues.

This is what Adnan Khan said in recent interview, "As our director says, he makes sure we don’t go into that genre of storytelling. Even when it comes to my performance, that man is continuously checking me and says ‘Adnan don’t act, acting nahi chahiye.’ Can you imagine, we are actors and he asks us not to act? That level of performance he expects."
